I'd have thought, quick and dirty solution would be:jjlandlord wrote: »Could that be the same one as this thread here?: "Shared house ownership, room rent dispute – What’s the logical solution?"
(Sorry, too noob here to post links...)
Albert has one room and rents one room to a lodger
Brian has one room and rents one room to a lodger
Brian wants to leave. Brian should rent both his rooms to Albert, allowing sub-letting.... then Albert can have 3 lodgers, inheriting Brian's current lodger and finding a new one.
Posh answer would be for Albert and Brian to form a Ltd company and shuffle their paperwork round within that.0 -
They could have just said it was a post in "The Royal Wedding" thread without any embarrassment, surely.ericthelobster wrote: »
If so, it would be so odd (I think), that it might explain the lack of specific info forthcoming from LLZ as to why you were banned?
Whatever the reason, Jeffrey has to be somewhere behind it, given his notable silence on the TAB thread, and the likelihood that such a word would cause steam to shoot from his ears like an apoplectic caricature. Or perhaps he just couldn't think of a suitable pun.
The tumbleweeds rolling through LLZ today are almost tangible. Most gratifying.0 -
Oh dear everyone. There seems to be a right old ding-dong going on over at LLZ from post # 191 onwards on the 'mtg' thread.
I can see them deleting it soon.0 -
Well all the new posts are slagging the members that have upped stakes and gone. Makes no difference to me, I had already decided after the slap on the wrist I got a couple of weeks ago. Not even the courtesy of a reply from Tom Entwhistle. There's at least one post there that is aimed at me in particular that I would normally give a broadside to, but what the hell, why bother? If anyone is to blame it's them for the way they have moderated and their practice of handing out slaps and bans to their hardworking and long standing members.0

It is certainly very quiet on there today and the quality of the advice has plummeted. Some of the rarely-seen Topic Experts have been drafted in, I see - like Dad's Army!0

You misunderstand my meaning I think - if I'm right, then any embarrassment would not be about having to repeat the dreaded word, but instead about admitting that this is the reason for the ban... ie "She's been banned for THAT?? you've got to be kidding...!"They could have just said it was a post in "The Royal Wedding" thread without any embarrassment, surely.
Mmm.Jeffrey has to be somewhere behind it, given his notable silence on the TAB thread, and the likelihood that such a word would cause steam to shoot from his ears like an apoplectic caricature.0 -

I take that personally MTG. Your corrosive and ascerbic and acidic and hassidic and hispanic and irridissic and all sorts of other things ending in "sic" barbed tongue still retains the ability to hurt. I thought that evicting a barking dog as a lodger because it would not be named on the TA was sound advice?
Also is there any truth in the post that suggests that the LLZ site is for sale?

Do tell a bit more about that puhlease.0 -
This could be a rumour but look on the LLZ 'mtg' thread post #208 and especially post # 213 by QDay.
So that's their game, trying to make us look even more respectable than we already are. They want to mould us into one of them, like the Borg. (Star Trek Next Generation fans joke) Maybe that's why there's a purge on the old members, to make way for the newbies eh.0
