What response should i expect from a ebay seller

I bought some items on ebay that had free first class post but the seller sent them second class so i was wondering what response should i get from the seller as in there listings it says all our items are sent by royal mail first class standard, it then goes on to say if you have any complaints please contact us first before opening a dispute or leaving negative feedback so we can sort the matter out.

What do you want him/her to do? Give you the difference back??

Why not give him positive. Mark his matrix okay, except the postage cost.

that's cheeky, it's so small an issue but so cheeky seeing as they've got put that in their listing

I would contact them as a matter of principle, wouldn't neg them, would consider low DSRs but I probably wouldn't as it is such a small issue

Free P&P doesn't give the option to leave dsr's thankfully.

OP you could message saying that you were disappointed to see that it was sent 2nd class rather than 1st as advertised and ask for a partial refund.
Was the fact that it was supposed to be sent 1st class the reason you bought from this seller, or were they the cheapest or best seller for the item?

Contact the seller - then you'll know what the response is. Could it be any easier? What response are you looking for?

I may be mistaken, but I'm sure with Free P&P, it is automatically given max DSR, but can be changed manually. I may be wrong.

Your first statement si correct, the second is not.

Sellers automatically get 5* on free postage.

It could be just an innocent oversight. If you have received your goods, and it didn't cause a problem that they took a day longer, then just contact them to point out the mistake. Then judge them by their response.

There was other sellers selling the items cheaper but they was all sending there items by second class so as i needed the item a bit quicker i paid the bit extra for the item to have it sent first class but then the seller sent it second class.

The listing asks buyers to contact seller befor eleaving feedbakc if there are issues, so contact them and then judge yoru feedback and stars on what their response is.

I had a response from the seller saying I will have to ammend my listings as the prices of first class post have gone up and the fees are also rediculous after postage and paypal and ebay fees its working out too much to send first class .
