scuzz and blairweech - I'm just the same, can't get my brain started today at all! And I'm being paid to be here and work...

Uuuuurgghhhh. I'm just looking forward to having some time off over Christmas. I know I've had most of the last 2 weeks off as it is but I've been soooooo busy. I have made sure I have NO plans between Christmas and New Year because I need a break so badly. Normally I would go to my mum's, but I can't really face a 600 mile round trip, and it will be a real opportunity to get the flat ship-shape.

Thanks Shez and VickyA for the info about rubber gloves. Flippin' Morrisons only seems to have yellow ones. I need to go to Mr T's for a major Christmas-and-general-stocking-up shop so I'll get some then. I think a cab home will cost less than the home delivery fee...

afternoon all, hello kaz, cold and damp here, just popped on to give you a tip i got from elderly neighbour who was a cook, when doing jam or toffee use cane sugar as opposed to beet sugar and it sets better am i allowed to say cane sugar is made by tate and lyle

    hugs to all xx
  • Good afternoon all.

Have been to a beading tutorial today. Made a medallion, I am beginning to think I am craftily challenged, I make so many mistakes, still eventually I did produce the basic thing, most of the others had gone on to turn theirs into necklaces or chokers, I however have a nice medallion and nothing to put it on yet!

The wind is so strong here when I went to do the school run I felt like dorothy in the wizard of oz.

Have done next to nothing at home today, did go to see Mr T but did not do a full shop - did spend £60 though! I got quite a lot of meat. Still have not got BM on - I keep saying I will be so far have not managed it.

Will sit and do some Xmas cards in a bit while neighbours is on.

Went out for dinner last night with Mr Jellycat for wedding anniversary - had champagne it was delicious.

Something about you PennyPincher makes me admire you, I don't know all your circs but you seem to battle on regardless of your pain. I always enjoy your posts.

    Love and hugs to all.

    Still awake, just!!!

Managed to get all the sweetie bits for OH's retro sweetie box... the only problem is that my favourite sweets in the whole wide world, white chocolate mice, just won't fit in..... So I've had to remove them and set them aside for myself as "reward" :D

Off to cook a nice steak and potato wedges for tea now - I had bought them as a treat for his birthday tomorrow but his mum phoned me earlier to say she'd booked us all a table in a local restaurant  I'm not complaining too hard because they'll be paying, but it would have been nice to have been asked whether I'd planned anything special before she booked!! MILs eh?!
  • I don't know how your still awake Roz! At least your MIL is paying, hope you all have a lovely meal.

I've also had a lazy day. It would have been my sister's birthday today (she passed away very recently) so feeling a little low. It's so hard to see your parent's going through so much pain :( , especially when my dad's ill too.

Must get more motivated tomorrow. Hotpots almost ready, just have to drag my DS's off their consoles!!

Have a nice evening all Jackie x
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)

YEY!!!:j The end of the day has arrived. I can finally go home:T

Had a last minute energy spurt, as a story came in and I had a minute and a half to get it on air.

But now, I'm off to do nothing whatsoever with my evening

Have a good evening everyone and I'll see you all tomorrow.

Afternoon All - hope we are well and coping with the strong winds

I heard on the radio ref the tornado in North London, hope everyone is ok, who has been hit with it.

Shez you do right ref the letter and refuse to do another 1, Im totally behind you, and on numerous of occasions - Ive had to ask people "who r u", hope you get it sorted.

Finished work after doing 2hrs overtime. Relieved to finish, had a difficult customer - very patronising and he be-littled me. I remained calm & professional throughout the call, but when it ended, I was in tears - its been a while since that happened. My manager was very sympathetic, she wanted to call cust back and give him "what for" - bless her. Wouldn't have got that kind of support from my last job.

Packed all kids stuff away in their rucksacks ready for camping Fri-sun. And wrote a list instructions for my ex to follow when he fetches their stuff, no point in telling him, he would forget by the time he gets to the car.

Ironed uniforms for work/school for 2mr. WM on, kids tea done not thought about the adults, probably soup, as I cant be bothered tonight.

Kids Xmas cards nearly done, then hopefully I can chill for the evening.

Hit n miss with a full blown conversation with OH. I give up, it will sort itself out (one day) :rotfl: At least I got presents to wrap over the week end to keep me busy.

Anyway people, have a lovely evening, take care if you have to venture out in this awfull weather.
    Love as usual xxx
