Morning all! am looking forward to a day out with DH. We have a free ticket to go horse racing at Ludlow so we're off later this morning, hope that it doesn't pour down all afternoon!

Morning everyone :hello:
I'm hoping to be more organised today than I was yesterday..... I'm on top of the ironing (just) and I've sorted out a pile of magazines for recycling.
Yesterday, I attempted to pop to the library to return and renew some books. I'd forgotten that they had reduced the library service and it's now closed completely on a Wednesday and only open for 2 hours on a Thursday. So, I lugged my library books around town - and they were quite heavy! It's a shame that they have to cut back on the service as it's quite a well-stocked and helpful library.
I suppose that's what comes from being in a small town as opposed to a large city. I'll be grateful that there is a library to use at all (albeit not on a Wednesday
).
I've still got loads of sorting out to do and I'll also have to wrap the Christmas presents as the first "batch" are going out this weekend.....
See you all later

Morning all! Just a quickie, as I have loads to do this morning. I've been up since 6am, but my ISP has been down until now, so this is the first chance I've had to post.
Starting our mince meat today - DD is very keen to assist. Then it's the first of our choir concerts tinight. We're singing quite a lot unaccompanied, which can be a bit hairy, but we know the pieces pretty well.
Some really good OS news is that our hens have started laying again. They've been moved from their hen house to the polytunnel, where it's a bit warmer. We think one of our new ones laid her first egg, yesterday, too, so no-more supermarket eggs for us!
See you all later, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Morning :santa2:
Another bad night here - insomnia readlly kicking in ATM, not helped by Mr TM's car alarm going off at 2.30 and me having to switch it off (he slept through it) then not being able to go back to sleep
Have a charity collection van calling in a short while so need to bring all the bags and boxes down from the attic, The problem with my local shops that i support is you can't drive to them so I wait until I have a load then they pick it up. Most helpful
Need to get on top of my work admin. I have some stuff I really need to do but hate, and i think it's beginning to play on my mind, hence the lack of sleep. Mind you, did all the xmas cards last night so just need to get stamps and then that's all finished. :j (Also meant I managed NOT to do my admin)
Today will be a quick flick round and a vac then I WILL shut myself in the office, NOT come on here and NOT go on msnWell, except for a tea break of course :rotfl:
Tea will be a chicken lasagne type concoction and fruit salad for pud.Lunch will be soup and toast and for brekkie, I had DS2's ready brek - he asked daddy to make him porridge, but Mr TM can't cope with anything so complicated. DS2 came back to me to say daddy was making him eat "horrible porridge" Mummy to the rescue then(Hmm, that was all a bit backwards, wasn't it? LOL)
Anyway, :hello: to all the newbies/returness and ((hugs)) to all sickies etc

morning all
i hope you're all ok :grouphug::grouphug:to all that need/want em. i havent been around much lately as ive been wanting to get the house sorted ready 4 xmas. ive only got as far as ds' bedroom, but that took a whole afternoon!(his room is tiny) we got rid of all of his baby toys and a lot of other stuff too so he can now play in there when needed to (he's 3 next month and gets under my feet when cleaning upstairs). so todays job is start on the front room ready for when the tree goes up THIS TIME NEXT WEEK! got ds' big toybox downstairs& i want to move at least 1/3 of the downstairs toys n most of the books upstairs as it looks like a jumble sale in the toy corner... i would love to put his bike & coupe car outside but they would last seconds b4 disappearing over the fence.it really makes me sick that, every1 else can leave their kids's toys outside and nothing gets touched but i cant leave anything out as my neighbours steal anything i leave out.:mad::mad::mad: (their sons bedrom floor has been laminated by the flooring they stole from outside our back door.) but ho hum. suppose id better get dressed n start sorting or it will never get done.

Morning all.
So sorry to hear about DS Kyle, hope your chat helps. It must be tough at that age, feeling like they are the only ones that have to go through it all. The daily injections can't be fun. Poor thing.
No more work for the rest of the week :j - did a 12hr shift yesterday (without a break) which was knackering, but it now means that I can crack on with all my wrapping and card writing. Have friends in OZ and NY that I need to get their cards and pressies posted today.
This time of year, as exciting as it is, always makes me extremely anxious, there is just so much to get sorted, practically every night we have something going on, DD1 alone has 3 carol concerts, a drama production and her school Christmas play - which all require numerous rehearsals. Mr Frizz has about 5 Christmas parties, so he is out most evenings - its just a very hectic time of the year. DDs have their end of term Disco tomorrow at school, so there is much excitement about that, and DD1 has a few of her friends over and they are all going to get ready together - the 'makeup' question has already cropped up - she wants to wear it - I don't want her to. I said she could have a bit of glitter on her face and some lip gloss, but she wants eyeshadow and eyeliner and I've said "NO WAY!!!"
Have invited all my family over for Christmas Day, so need to start planning what I am going to be cooking and when to buy everything needed. Won't bother with online shopping, as last year all my veg and a lot of fresh produce was delivered with just 2 days life on it  - so I ended up facing the crowds to rebuy it all again. What does everyone else do?Christmas Day on a Monday, so when do you all buy your veg etc? My last working day is Thursday, so at least I will get Friday off - so perhaps I will hit the shops then.
The more I think about everything, the more anxious I get - LOL!
Did anyone see Nigella last night? Blimey, she doesn't half make food look appetising. That ham she made looked scrummy - think I will hunt out the Coke Ham recipe of hers.
Best crack on with my list of 'To Do's'.
Have a great day all.

Morning All - Hope we are well
((((Huggs)))) to Kyle's son.
Running a bit late this morning, just cant get motivated, roll on the wk end
DD managed half of her cards last night, not many left to do later.
Im working overtime again later, so my other neighbour will kindly fetch the kids from school for me. Then it will be a mad rush to fetch OH from work. His car still off the road, mechanic should be coming on Friday to investigate the problem
Slowly getting the decorations sorted, most likely finish the job at the wk end when kids are camping.
Right, must go, kick myself up the backside and get ready for work
have a good day everyone - we have sunshine, but its bitterly cold in the wind.
Take care, love as usualHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

Frizz, at the moment my plan is to go on the Friday before Crimbo as well. First thing to avoid the crowds. We are off to a log cabin on the Saturday and it seems there isn't a shop for miles so going prepared. Did the same last year and went to Lidl on the Friday morning where there were loads of fresh veg.
