Just found this thread. Have been sitting here with a huge grin(normally lurk on the dfw board). Am not doing very much today, just recovering from a (seemingly endless) bout of illness. Have only washed up and made our bed(and had 2 cups of coffee- VERY IMPORTANT) oh yes fed all the cats, litter trays etc(have 7 cats) sorry for being SO boring. Am hoping to go out tomorrow like a real "grown up" have only been going to drs and hospital so am excited about that.Am going to Trafford Centrre as its my local shops(you can see it from our house) Am going to make a big stew tonight with whatever we have left in as its SOOOOO cold here. Huge hugs to everyone that could do with one. Love and best wishes to Kyle and her DS hope things improve soon hun. AussieLass sorry to be a bore but I became totally obsessed with the first series of my Restraunt rules(I know I know!!!) do you have ANY news about anyone involved in it at all? Anyway, coffee time me thinks have a nice day everybody. Hope that is not TOO boring.Sorry.

anniestar, welcome to the daily thread...your post is NOT boring!
aussie, good luck with the potty training. I remember all the cheering we did when we got a result!
Valentine and Welshlassie, I hope the sickness passes for both of you soon.

Well my morning at homestart was postponed until tomorrow so hopefully I'll manage to do some catching up around here. So far; general tidy up done, the breadmaker's on and the beds are stripped and the first load on the line and the second in the machine. I'm still staring at this lump of meat and wondering what to do with it. I may just do a repeat performance and have another roast tonight. If I stick a bit of garlic in it and serve different veg then maybe no one will notice. :D

    Morning all

Just put up our Christmas lights on one of the trees outside at the front. Will have to wait until tonight to see the full effect but they're on now as it's so dull, overcast, wet and windy. But did have chat with friend who lives down the lane as she came past with her old dog. We used to work together also so good to catch up with news.

Just looked out to see lovely white donkey in the field opposite - appropriate for the time of year I guess. :)

OK. Better start on the tasks that penninewoman's left me today . . . .

    Have a good day everyone.
    Where now?

Really enjoyed DD's carol concert last night.
Not putting up out tree till DD (21) gets home from uni on the 16th.

Just informed DH that I am not the only woman in the world who re arranges the washing after he has hung it on the line!

DH is setting up a wireless thingy and I am typing this on the laptop at the kitchen table.:j :j :j

Before I used to get a crick in my neck.

Finished a second fluffy scarf last night and tonight will make egg fried rice for tea as that is popular and quick.

    Hugs to everybody.

    Morning All

Woke up to find the garden at the front and the back patio and garage flooded this morning which was a lovely sight

It's absolutely freezing at work. We've twp radiators to fill a big open plan office. Funnily enough the boss's office is warm, as it's small, with a radiator and electric heater.

Still in an I can't be bothered mode. Maybe I'll snap out of it by the New Year:D

Done most of my daily clicks to earn a few pence now I'm going to concentrate on keeping warm

    hello Everyone!:santa2:

Hows things? ticking along I hope? sorry to about yr ds Kyle ((hugs)) and ((hugs)) to the pregnant morning sickness women!

Good News: Well I have finally given Talk Talk the "Old Heave HO" and BT shall be taking my line back "hurray" - would you believe it when I phoned TT - they said they had already been contacted by BT! ha ha - and funny how she said "but I have your GO LIVE Broadband date/password etc now" - ITS ABIT LATE NOW LOVE! maybe I should have tried to cancel earlier they might have done it then! that means as soon as Bt take over I can sort out a decent broadband ISP!:T I do miss not being able to get on here at home, Im losing track of what you are all up to!

Bad News: when my DS was ill a few weeks ago, I went into the school next day and wrote a letter/note of absence infront of the admin staff on front desk/office - I said "I wont be getting a letter from the school will I?" (like they had done before) LOW AND BEHOLD - a letter I got! I was fuming - went to school yesterday complaining about what is the point of doing a letter???? they said they cant find letter and could i do another one - I refused (being awkward) said its their problem and they need to get their act together - THEN a guy comes up and says "ok we'll sort it out" - I didnt know who he was from ADAM? I said "and who are you?" he said Im the Deputy Head! - Didnt introduce himself properly - had the "inter-personel skills" of a skunk! a right !!!!!!! then when showing me out had a big grin on his face and was laughing!!!!! I said "Do you think this is funny?" - What a way to treat a parent????? Thats not right is it?? what an attitude to take.
I am now awaiting a meeting with the Head Teacher and will put in an official complaint.

No wonder the education system is slipping - how does someone like him manage to become a Deputy Head for christs sake!!!???? its beyond belief!

There - so thats my news - hope it makes you laugh today!:D

Oh Yeah!!! Finished my essay!!! Off into town now to hand it in and brave the Pick n Mix to get OH's last few bits and pieces!! Going to try and finish my Xmas shop, but remembered I've invited a friend over for tea so need to get this place tidy coz its a blinking mess!!! Apparently I have two pristine white sofas and a rather beautiful laminated wood floor underneath all the ironing that's piled up in the living room :o

ps. I have now been awake for almost 36hrs straight.... probably shouldn't drive but never mind....
