So because nobody knows i've got a dodgy gear linkage I should come to a complete stop for all people exiting side roads?
Ignoring the fact you should fix any defects that may affect your driving before going out on the road, surely it's common sense to account for what you know is wrong with your vehicle and drive accordingly?

even when im traveling along at that roads speed limit? I can see that going down really well with anyone who happens to be behind me :rotfl:
Why worry about what someone else thinks?

    Here's a thought.
Should a professional driver (I use that term loosely) not have the ability and forethought to account for such eventualities instead of mouthing abuse and driving like an utter tw4t?
    Pot, kettle, black.
I'm not about to slag you off, but from what I've seen of your videos pretty much all of those "incidents" could have been avoided with ease.

And seeing as how my car would easily have passed an MOT, it's safety is not in question. Im hardly going to plough into a bus stop because first gear doesn't work.
The MOT isn't worth the paper it's written on, and it tells you that on the back.

No - you should get it fixed before you venture out on the road OR be prepared for difficulties because no-one else knows you're driving a dodgy motor (despite all your holier than thou pontificating about road safety)!

Omg...... Give the man a medal.
Exactly the reason I was reluctant to stop...... Driving as was needed to avoid the fault causing a problem.

The only vehicle I can think of that refused to pull away in 2nd gear is a BSA Goldie.....

I think he meant drive better accordingly, and allow for greater stopping/slowing distance, not use it as an excuse to be even worse, and refuse to stop or slow entirely.

Was it necessary because you needed to avoid something, or was it necessary because you wanted to do it (as when you decided to overtake on chevrons because you WANTED to)?

I had a Fiat 126 that had no first gear, two years of only using 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

But when mine plays up, I shouldn't use the car at all.

A word springs to mind........................ Hypocrites.

Because obviously if first gear doesn't work, my brakes must be shot too..... Excellent logic :rotfl:
