A S Securi-T - useful information

Today I received a parking ticket from A S Securi-T Ltd, despite showing a permit for the firm whose premises I was using.
I returned to my car and found a 'Parking Charge Notice' attached to my windscreen. The usual sticky yellow pocket thing. They were demanding a charge of £70.50, or £50 if I paid within 14 days. How generous!
Having returned home in a huff and looked on here (my first stop), I was rewarded by viewing the clip from Watchdog which explains that these tickets are merely invoices that allege a breach of contract - they have no valid legal impact on the recipient it seems.
I then had the further pleasure of looking up A S Securi-T Ltd on the Companies House website, and I find that they are in liquidation.
The message? Don't pay any alleged 'parking tickets' issued by A S Securi-T Ltd! Their 'penalty' was exhorbitant already, but I wouldn't throw money into a black hole - who would?

So a company in liquidation is still trading, whilst technically it can do so, from what I can understand if the liquidator thinks its in the creditors interests , I would try and see if this is in fact known to the liquidation. And how can an insolvent business by in the BPA ?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Also they are in the AOS of the BPA, will be asking them how after doing stringent checks an insolvent company can do that, also a quick email to the DVLA might be in order

They will now probably be AS Security 2011 ltd or the like. They never go away just change names, bit like the flu changing each year. Gives you a headache and a bit of the sniffles and then its gone.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Yes that is probably true, but then they should be a new company with no car parks to lurk in , it could be worthwhile to inform landowners etc that this company is in liquidation, and once liquidated all contracts end

During liquidation there are constraints placed upon the business including mention on company paperwork.
I would suggest reference to the abundant information on the Companies House website and if failure is in evidence to contact the compliance department.
The liquidators should be doing this properly.0 -
Entirely predictable. AS Securi-T Ltd has already phoenix'ed and is now VP Parking Solutions Ltd t/a AS Securi-T. Same directors, same registered office address. VP Parking Solutions Ltd are, you've guessed it, already members of the AOS. Somebody got their act together very quickly given that the winding-up petition was only presented on 18 February and the order made on 6 April. VPPS was only incorporated on 25 January - just 3 weeks before the winding-up petition. Now that is remarkably prescient.
The compulsory liquidation is being handled by the Official Receiver, Suite A, Waterside House, Town Quay, Southampton if you are minded to contact him to enquire as to the legality of any continued trading of this company. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
The Company Number is the key identifier.0

I had also got the ticket in the church. I go there quite often but this time they put a ticket on.
Notification is displayed of A S securi-T that only permit holder can park there.
Its almost a month and I have sold that car now. Shall I pay to them because I am just doubting that AS Securi-T will bother the new keeper otherwise.
Any suggestions?
And also Matt_EA, Did you pay the fine? or Did they contact you?0 -
Just ignore them, then ignore them some more. And when you've nearly finished ignoring them, wait for a sec before another bout of ignoring
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -

It's NOT a fine, of course he didn't pay it! It's a scam!
Have you seen the whole forum on the subject of these fake PCNs?

Read the stickies (info threads at the top) 'PPC letters, what to expect' and 'welcome, please read before posting'. Once you have seen the letters and realised that NOTHING happens after the threats, and also seen the Watchdog link, you will understand that your case is the same as all the rest.
Do not even THINK about paying this rubbish.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
