Hiya - been to visit Linda in hospital today - she is in agony and hooked up to the morphine machine - had a terrible night despite the fact that when I rang before I went over the nurse told she she was doing well after a good night and the consultant said she was to get out of bed today she was in her chair when I got there at 3 pm, be off the morphine this after noon no chance as they are considering changing it from every 5 mins to every 3 mins, and home, as in alone her own home, tomorrow No way   I have spoken to the nurse and the person dealing with Physotherapist who will not let her home until she has been assessed as able, and will go into the local cottage hospital for recouperation if necessary, which I stressed is definitely necessary

Boult - your sig reminds me, have you received your Cowshed House prize yet and if so, what's it like. I received a dog lead and a poo-bag holder with belt clip today which I won in a comp I heard about on MSE - not much, but nice to win something :j :j

    Thank you boult

I described it as a cottage hospital for want of a better word - it is the small hospital in town with no A & E just a Small Injury Clinic and Out of Hours Doctor service, does x-rays and blood tests, has a few wards but mainly for geriatric/rehab/recovery, physio unit, cancer unit, maternity unit and that's about it but it seems really good - we've never had any problems with it and Linda was pleased with the treatment she got last time she was in there, after her accident
