Slimming class went ok though I gained 1/2 lb but I had thought it would be more, the way I felt. Mr 3Dogs lost 2 1/2 lbs - odd the way he does well when I am at home and badly when I am away, isn't it?

Morning - I'm up early this morning as I am taking my friend into hospital shortly for her operation to put right her broken leg/knee - well, she has to ring at 9 am to check they still have a bed for her, and then, if there is, I take her in by 10 am. She has been in agony since breaking her leg just below the knee last November and it has taken lots and lots of telephone calls and pressure by her GP to get to this point - I just hope that they can put it right, or at least get her leg straightened without the agony she has now

Mr 3Dogs is going to the auction - we have seen a nice grey leather sofa bed which he is going to bid on for us
Have a great day everyone

Morning all, comp still broken, have brought it to work, to ask IT guy to look at it for me, but don't know how long he will take. Borrowed one as I need to do my MS jobs otherwise won't get paid.
Hope everyone is as well as can be. Hope Linda gets to go in today and op goes well for her. And no more pain.
HI to Mr 3Dogs, hope you get the sofa bed

Glad you have got use of a computer now Aesop :j
I took Linda to the hospital for 10 am and she eventually got taken in to surgery at 3.50 pm. The waiting room was packed and people were getting more and more frustrated as everything seemed to take forever and no-one seemed to know what they were doing. They used a spare room/store room for doing obs (pulse, blood pressure, temp, etc), and also to speak to the anaesthitist and then the surgeon, but took her bloods in the waiting room, yes the waiting room, in front of everyone else  .......... and she and another lady ended up changing into their gowns in the ladies toilet and then sitting in their gowns/dressing gowns in the waiting room for an hour and a half more. It just seemed like disorganised chaos, and Linda didn't get a bed until she got taken down for surgery, when they told me that I could put her holdall in her room, which was a side room, where she would be taken back to after surgery
Of course, with the people going in for surgery, none of them had eaten since last night and had nothing to drink since first thing this morning. Linda was in agony but was not allowed her painkillers or the water to take them with anyway, so she got very aggitated and well as stressed, which was upsetting her stomach
I was starving and so thirsty when I left her as she went into surgery, so got an apple and banana for driving home - I turned down the warm bottles of diet cola from the cooler in the cafe  Mr 3Dogs had my dinner ready for me getting home at 5.30 pm and I drank a glass of water straight down, but have got a headache and am shattered now
Mind you, feel better for having spoken to Steve when he rang a little earlier :j :j sorting out our visit to stay with him and Andy, with Kit coming over too, this coming weekend
Hope your day was better than mine - Oh, at least Mr 3Dogs had a good day, buying the leather metal-action sofa bed for £130 including commission at the auction, so we will get that home tomorrow, as he spent this afternoon getting his car boot buys home from the auction and sorting them
The whole experience was terrible, gave no-one any confidence in the NHS and was totally unprofessional ............ our NHS
