It's over...I feel so relieved but a bit lost now! I've done 400 of my 2nd product in the last 3-4 days where as usually I do about 40-50 over the week (and the 400 was bulk orders on top of my normal 40-50 a week lol)
    ......
On a money note I got my last payment from work which was a whooping £1600 so wedding fund is now 100% and the rest has spilt into little pots (xmas, honeymoon and exam fees), set up standing orders with photographer and caterer.
Fantastic, Kaya! Good for you :j
I really want to get into gardening but I am not a bug person as stupid as it sounds... I just can't stand them. Would happily go play in the mud..if I knew there wasn't any bugs!!! :(
I totally understand that! If your garden's overgrown, it might not be the best time of year to start - wait until the first few frosts, clear the ground, put some mulch down, and get going. If you come across stuff, leave it for 5 minutes, and it will have scuttled off, I promise!
Hi diadeb nice to see you
Seconded! Sorry, forgot to say :o
I am still motivated I have hopefully finished my QCF modules tonight just need my tutor to confirm after the observation tomorrow.:D
Good grief, that was quick! Well done :j
No sign of any fostering placement so I shall be cracking on with my business research going well so far but getting to a crucial stage of deciding my niche once that's firmed up I will be going all guns blazing :D
Yay! I'm having ups and downs with my design work, naturally enough - the knitted kitty is terrible, too thick to work properly because of the 100% cotton I used, as I mentioned on my diary, I'll put the "failed experiment" onto the design blog eventually. Photos are going well - lots of pixels in each :D and I turned one into a huge photo of a cat's eye, which was an effect I specially wanted to create. Got to mix it up now. The stencils, which you were supporting me with DT, I haven't got round to them at all :( I've got a lot of paid work today, and I need to pack as well, as I'm off to see my mum for a few days, so nothing done there unless I can do it on the kindle :( I'll do what I can today.

LL, thinking of you. Hope everyone else is doing good.

  • Enjoy your break KC this is a marathon not a sprint little bits all add up.

Observation done this morning no problems hopefully she will have finished looking at my file by Monday when I am going in to sign all the necessary stuff and as long as I haven't missed anything vital I should be done certificate in about a month one happy bunny to get that out of the way and it will mean a little bit more money when we get a placement not going to make me a millionaire though.

My cake decorating classes start tonight and my sugar flowers tomorrow so really looking forward to that I have really missed going.

Going to a fostering meeting this afternoon and have a curriculum meeting at school for my children first thing tomorrow but after that my diary is clear for niche hunting :)

    Bring it on

  • Hello All.

I'm still here, finally finished the training on my part time job and start on 29th, it is flexible hours which is good, it means I am able to still do my self employed work and also take my college classes.

On the money making front, i'm still due several payments, my goal this year was to basically clear as much debt as I can, that way I have a semi clean slate next year and can start proper money making, i'm still on target for that.

Still using Clixsense to make weekly money, not much, but every little bit counts!

I still enjoy reading what you guys are up to even though I am not as active.

Don't forget guys use facebook to your advantage, join some of the selling groups they are handy.

I am a very happy bunny I think I have found my niche just need to run it past my mentor :j:j

I was told to think of three categories of niches something I was passionate about, something I was knowledgeable about and a random item niche and I was told I was more likely to find something in the third category that would add up financially and of course they were right all my pre conceived ideas were way too competitive. But boy it has been hard work and I have been researching some strange things but I think I may have got it :D

    I hope everyone is OK

I sat pondering on what ive achieved in my 27 years and realised that anything ive ever said I wanted to do or wanted to have I have managed to achieve.

Last year after 10 years in catering I completely changed career and last week I achieved a distinction in painting and decorating. This got me thinking that since I always achieve goals I set myself what could I do next....

    Thus the Millionaire challenge!

So phase 1 is opening a savings account and getting money building up...

I work for myself so have a bit of control over my earnings, we have 1 property that we rent out and my husband has a decent (secure) job.

My aim is to get to the million mark by the age of 40 (im 27 now)

So how many of you think im mad and its impossible :rotfl: and how many of you think i'll do it and have ideas to help me :T

you can and will make it!!!
    good luck

    Hi Guys :-)

Things are going well my end, I'd love to foster but my kids are still very young so perhaps when they are teenagers if not older as I want to devote what time I have to them. (Plus OH is against it as he says he won't want to see the child leave again but 15 years is a long time to bring someone around lol)

I've got a website...I can't believe it. I went down the pub with a friend and she brought her friend who was a website designer..we really hit it off and I had to upgrade my site which cost £50 but him personally, is only charging me £40...it's a full blown website with basket and it's really easy to add products etc so it's looking very good!! :-)

Just got lots of products to add to it as it's very time consuming to do but once it's done it's done.

Product 2 is my main focus now. Hopefully got another 100 ordered but waiting for the money to hit the account to confirm... :)
People don't know what they want until you show them.
  • Hi Kayalana

Our children were 12 when we started fostering and we always made sure the fostered children were significantly younger than ours so that their place in the family structure wasn't challenged but after we started fostering we had another set of twins so they have grown up with us fostering but now they are a bit older(9) we still only foster younger children. When they leave is definitely the hardest bit they take a bit of your heart with them.

Good news about your website.

I have run my idea past my mentor and it looks like it is a goer can't believe it :D So now I am in the very early stage of setting up a website. I have my domain name but that is it really. I am still deciding whether to go for a fully hosted or open source shopping cart so any opinions would be appreciated. I would like to go open source so I would have more control but not sure if my technology abilities are up to it still researching atm.
