weekend childcare

You know what Kimberley, I wouldn't worry about it. I thought they were going to f-time childcare mid-week as well as having to go with you most weekends. They've got a parent for them before and after school, and in some hols, so don't stress out about them having to go into your work. Does the 2 Sats in 6 your hubby works work out in a pattern? I think at most I'd see if your Dad could do 1 in 12 Sats and a friend do the same. That's not asking much of either, and you could do something in return for them. Then you could get it so over a 6 week period they did 3 sats going to salon, 2 with their dad and the other 2 split between your dad and friend.0

Hello
I am a qualified childrens nurse and have done ad-hoc weekend nanny work although tend to do night nanny work now.
But used to do a job for wedding photographers who had 2 school age boys and used to do ad-hoc saturdays and sundays for them.
So a nanny would be an option as long as you knew dates needed in advance so could book them - maybe have a couple of nannies you use as they can cover each other for sickness and holiday. You would look to pay around £8-£12 an hr for ad-hoc weekend nanny depending on area, experience and qualifications.
Look on gumtree, netmums, childcare.co.uk
Some childminders do offer weekend care I know the one we use for our baby does but they charge a higher rate and per child so would be around £4-£7 an hr per child (so nanny may be more cost effective).
A student seems like a great idea if not a college student how about a student childrens nurse or student teacher - maybe worth considering - more cost effective also.
Another way to find a nanny is though an agency I am in east midlands so dont know where you are but kidsmatteruk and tinies are both agencies that cover nationwide.
Or does anyone local to you have an au-pair they use during the week who is looking for some extra work - worth looking at.0 -
Try your local Families Information Service. They will have a list of all the childcare available in your area.
I am in the process of registering as a childminder and i am offering 'unsociable hours' for the very reason that hardly anyone offers it!!
Good luck x0 -

hi - i'm a nanny if a nanny is out of your price range may I ask what you are hoping to pay an hour.
You may find if you class it as babysitting you may find someone qualified with the ofsted registration you need to be able to use childcare vouchers (which I think you want to use if I've read this right)
Try putting an add up on netmums in your local area, childcare.co.uk can also be used for babysitting.

Not really sure how much, I had never had to use any sort of child care before so had no idea how much is cost. I dont get vouchers, nor does my husband.
I was hoping to get help through tax credits.Shut up woman get on my horse!!!0
