I think your options are limited. I only know of 2 childminders here who have worked Saturdays. 1 does it because it's her neighbours kids she minds and she charges time and a half. The other did it when first setting up as a CM for a few months only.
My neighbour had to pack in her hairdressing job for this very reason, couldn't find Saturday childcare.
If you don't wish to continue taking them to work, you'll need to look for a babysitter. Uni students may be home shortly and looking for a summer-time job, or go down the route suggested.0 -

Do you have no friends who could look after the children for money( if you already know them and what they are like?) Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
What about private nannies and child-carers. There are agencies round here who do 24 hours, overnights, day times, evenings the lot.
Do you live in a city? there is likely to be something if you do. eg http://www.butterflynannies.co.uk/babysitting-2/babysitting-rates/:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Oh shame, I would happily look after my freinds children if they were in a fix. I personally dont thnik its ideal to have them at work, a) for them and b) for you trying to make a living.
Im sure there would be private company who would find someone, but of course they might want to travel, you might have to pay a bit more. I have known people who are social workers, teachers, nursery staff do "overtime" with these type of agencies.

My friends would short term but I couldnt ask them to give up most weekends.
I am going to look into these agencies, i didnt know they existed before. This is the first time I have had to look at childcare.
Your right its not ideal but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. They had me at home for 8 years, that couldnt continue forever.Shut up woman get on my horse!!!0 -

A babysitter wouldn't be a stranger you just left them with as you walked out the door, you'd meet them, see what you thought, what your kids thought and then let them interact together before they were left in sole charge. You can go thru a babysitting agency for a night out, so you ccould look into that option - though I think it'll be expensive, and I don't think you'll be able to claim help with it. ETA - Just saw lynzpowers link. That's not as bad as I thought they'd charge.
I agree it's not ideal taking them into work when you're busy. If hubby wants to make conditions why don't you ask him to sort it?0
