Back to work again. Had a busy and productive weekend with 85 ebay listings of which 99% are old toys. My ebay to be listed collection will grow a little more as well while I await the next free listing weekend. Will see what I can get for these things I suppose, then I will pop them on at 99p.
I made many many paper logs and did three hours of ironing.
Premium bonds money came back to me and has been paid off Amex. That now is under 2k left to pay. Where it has no interest it is a really annoying one. So I want to pay it. That and vanquis are my focus, because Amex is annoying and they ring yoou twice a week and Vanquis is expensive. I really want to hammer the lot of them into touch.
My husband was reading a letter which Sky sent about a halfprice offer. He was saying the offer ends on the 14th. I am the one who loves watching the football and the sky channels. I found myself saying this: I want a good few months of being as frugal as I can. I need to upgrade my phone and it will be a slight outlay there. We have the kids birthdays. Your parents have bought us a holiday beginnning of July.
I want a pot of money, for emergencies. The house is completing today, and we want to pop an extension on and start the building at the end of August. I want us to be prepared and ready with the least amount of debt in the best place possible. I want all these things and I will be so busy I wont have time to watch Sky. So no, we will look again at it in six months and if we want it then we can take it out.
I was rather pleased with myself. Lets face it we cant look at 200 quid a month less outlay and start to justify things we dont need by offsetting against it.
There are 9 days to payday. I have 60 quid in cash. Will try and avoid using cards.
Nothing is clearing through ebay just yet.
Today is the day, the house purchase goes through. Fingers crossed there are no issues.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Have updated my signature and I am into the 26's. Its not marvellous and I want to be back under 25's but I think its much better than the 27's I was previously languishing in.
I will carry on and get to those 25's in the next month. I am determined!!!!
House is on course. Its nerve wracking.Trying to shift that debt!0 -

:j:j Yey great news !! :j:j
Sounds like a very productive weekend you had there Skint, how did you find time for that Rioja ?! :rotfl:
Well done on saying no to the Sky , we pay £20 a month but I can honestly say the TV hasn't even been switched on since last Sunday, we just don't have time to watch it, I sometimes wonder why we even bother paying it
Keep meaning to ask you, do you ever sell books on ebay ? If so are you successful or is it a complete waste of time and effort. I cant believe you have 85 listings, I have 8 and I thought that was good going !! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Thankyou !I have used Green Metropolis before but without much success. Someone complained about me as in my rush to parcel the book up I stuck the wrong address label on the front of the parcel so it took a while to get to them !I haven't sold anything since !
Tonight is definitely a night for celebration, rules or no rules ! Enjoy ! xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
