  • Onwards onwards. Paid northumbrian water. Bids on ebay to a mahoosive 2.49 and a little bit of breathing space.

Due to an aberration I have missed a couple of council tax payments. I can only presume I have cancelled the wrong direct debit. However I have moved quickly and sorted it but it impinges on my future plans a little. Not much but a little.

A nice lady stated that I can spread what I owe into next year so will do that.

    Most expensive debt goes first.

in 16 days I will be rid of P2P. I will also be paying another 40 quid off vanquis which currently stands at 2500. That will start being targeted.

My mortgage will complete and things will start to get even better. I hope.

  • Skint missed your last few days posts re the Water Issues etc. They are so quick to add on charges arent they ? I have jsut changed my water to monthly direct debits but they are being greedy and askign for far too much, so thats another call to make ! So pleased your parents were able to help, it takes the stress away a little.

I havent paid my council Tax either. We are already on a plan as I forgot to pay last year when I wasnt well. I am just awaiting the demands to drop onto the door mat, but I cant pay them until someone pays me.

Is it just me or is this all just driving you mad ? x

  • I feel just rank about it. Its another thing to say GRR about.

With luck the solicitors will allow me to pay monthly on the house completion fees.

  • I have bucketloads.
Still no word from the solicitor, but I am slowly but surely heading in the right direction.
Hope they get back to me soon and I know where I stand.

  • Thank God we don't have water rates in Scotland. SBO I have a spreadsheet where I mark off everything as it gets paid every month so I can't miss anything. I always know exactly where I stand then :)

Focussed as ever my DFW buddy:D. Had a quick read back over the last few pages, I'm so proud of your never failing industrious efforts all in the name of reducing debt. You used to put me to shame, but what I learned from you is - there will be a way. You just have to bloody find it:rotfl::rotfl:. Great to see you making headway, looks like Vanquis could be gone in the next 12 or so months? Keep at it chic xx

  • Thanks my lovely! 12 months, I hope much less than that. Together with the difference between rent and mortgage I am hoping for a bit of a blitz over the summer. Not weatherwise, but debt wise.

I am also having another ebay time. I am also saving my pennies (literally) for a new car. Its just how I roll.

P2P will be gone in 2 weeks. My mortgage will be completing next week and I will be 200 a month better off. 70 is going to family related debt and the other 130 to hammer at vanquis. Add that to the 170 from p2p plus the regular payment and it can be 450ish a month I can use.

I do need however a nice little pot I can create to dip into.

    I need that security.

  • Its no secret I have struggled since having my little boy. I have felt dreadful over the past couple of weeks again with what feels like the beginning of a virus. I have been quickly out of breath, even just sitting in a chair. My legs feel weak and wobbly I have regular upset stomachs. I also have numbness in both hands at times and weakness in my arms.

I asked for a telephone consultation with a GP, as I was concerened that it had dragged on and she thinks its anxiety. I live my life in an almost constant state of anxiety. I work in a fairly high pressure environment which until recently I mostly enjoyed. I have three children, the eldest has not been so well lately and I am concerned about her. My middle one is a teenager from hell sometimes. My youngest is 2 and therefore all bets are off. However I find this positive stress, as its full of love.

I have a lovely husband. I firefight the debts with a sharp pencil and a dabble of lunacy and I run a couple of houses. I am becoming stressed about the second house which is still not finished. I need this sorting as its a monkey on my back still. even after all this time.

Ive said to my daughter that I will doa charity shop lookout with her on Saturday but I also need to sort at home and the other house and get something done. Even if its just sorting some more ebay listings that will be fine.

Anyway, made 2 paper logs last night and did three surveys and got screened out of loads.

Paid 15p off amex. Think I will update my sig with my survey and ebay earnings this year. That should keep me motivated.
