Hello again!
Well I am happier today, its fabulous how different the world looks with more than three hours sleep! Sold over 100 pounds worth of stuff on ebay this week, marvellous.:T:T:T
DS is on the mend, and yesterday I made a tray bake from what was already in the house, and I ate that without wine, due to be being shattered.
The leavers assembly at the junior school for my daughter was very poignant. I shall no longer have the pretence that shes a kid, shes going to be an oik. Marvellous!:rotfl:
Ive just had a go at DH he has told me about a promotion at work. He has the knack at times of being a right misery, anyway all the doom and gloom about staffing levels in his role and the fact he couldnt probably do it because of set shift pattern and childcare. made me send back...Its all sh*t.
And youre in a job which is sh*t.
and its all sh*t.
theres nothing good about anything and all the prospects are just sh*t.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
What a flaming misery he was...
I have put some washing out today, just hope it all stays dry!.
Just had lunch at work and brought some salad in, took something back from the next sale online (internet said bikini, reality said bikini top only!!) and paid a cheque in to the bank.
Then spent ten minutes on return allocating that money to credit cards and to holiday savings fund!
Am going to be chirpy again today, picking up an already done homemade chili from the other house, some more stuff to put on ebay, and posting some ebay parcels.
Life is pretty good now my boy is well.
DD2s last junior school day tomorrow!
Car still kind of moving around the countryside!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Hi Skint, Great news that your DS is well again, he did sound poorly, it is heartbreaking to see them under the weather.
Well done on your E bay sales, £100 to spend on whatever takes your fancy05/03/14 £15,980 0n 2 CCs
07/04/14 £15,690 On 2 CCs

Hi MC - the hundred pounds is going to the holiday fund!! My ebay money gets used for investments and holidays.
I have found loads more bedding and thin quilts and asked DD1 who is moving to cast her eye over them see if there were any she fancied. Shes taking a white and gold one.
The 2 bin bags of towels at the other house, some of which are lovely and thick but not my current colours, shes also going to have. These can be used for decorating and cleaning.
I am also going to have a cull of the teatowel and cloth cupboard and set her some aside too.
Then I shall be moving onto my shoes. Ive loads I dont wear and dont want to wear, so these shall be ebayed and sent to charity shop depending on their states!
Shes also asked for the big bag of assorted throws too, and will use them to cover the random furniture shes been given. These are primarily browns and creams so its a nice neutral base.
I am off next week and having the kids watched on Tuesday morning so I will be doing a load of jobs then, like grass cutting. I need to spend some quality time with them as all too often my evenings disappear in things I feel I have to do, not that I want to do.
Ive had a staff car park space at work this week so the money I saved on parking has gone to the cards.
I should be able to purchase my euro prepaid credit card this weekend for holidays, its recommended on MSE and I will also take a few travellers cheques and some currency.
Will be getting listing on ebay tonight, as I am keen to clear the decks and make some more money.
Ive one non payer so far this week, and they bought an item for £50!
Grr.
I feel a message coming on...
I need to buy a mop and some hairspray and also some other bits and bobs, and I am looking forwards to payday friday to bring down the totals on the money I owe out!!Trying to shift that debt!0 -

As recommended by :money:!!!
I am on a week and a day off from tonight at 4pm and I am looking forward to every singular moment.:T:T
I didnt do the planned ebay listings last night, instead I rushed about accomplishing very little, it seemed however there are some already completed on turbolister which I shall pop on tonight so they finish sunday.
I made 23 pounds worth of ebay sales and all of these are being collected at some point, so will be contacting people to arrange.
I am in a fairly good mood today and am looking forwards to trip out with the kids to Beamish tomorrow (sampling the fish and chips cooked in beef dripping), the weather is alot better and the passport fees have been taken from my card which means that they should be delivered within ten days.
DS was a little clingy last night, hence I didnt get alot done. I did things like collect a parcel from the post office and collect a part for my car (power steering now works, praise be to god) and I had to go back out to the other house to get a fish pie out the freezer and get some power steering fluid as I had forgotten it.
I also put some washing out and some in the tumble drier ( there was a slight towel famine).
Just didnt get near a laptop.
Tonight we are getting the rest of DD2 school uniform and then home for fish pie, and I will also be going to get her another bag of things to sort out from the other house and listing those things on ebay.
At the weekend I will make up some more lots and photograph them and do yet more decluttering and clearing space!!
Am looking forwards to payday, because I can bring my totals down again.I should imagine I will need to update my signature pretty soon!! Am really close to that 30 grand of debt cleared mark.;)
Am going to start reigning in a bit tighter from this payday on to the next one, the holiday is looming and I want to be on the ball, I dont want to be on a beach checking my credit card balances, I want it just to be sorted for the month 2 weeks before I go.
I know its optimistic but I think its do-able.:p
Ive also started putting money to one side for Christmas. If I save 85 a month I can have a decent pot.
Im putting it in my savings account as of this month, and on the 15th of the month following I am putting it to the credit card - which is bringing that balance down and reducing the interest -( but its ringfenced as Christmas money). I will have it on the spreadsheet, and its got to help interest wise, I am going to add it to the balance of the card for accounts purposes - but it will just sit there. Does that make sense?
Its savings but sitting in the credit card account. Kind of like offsetting.
I will know it is there.
I am going to do the same with the holiday fund money when I come back from holiday (as we will be saving for the one in February). It will only be a fiver a month until I have paid the 200 pound balance in November (that will be paid for by ebay sales, which will go via the credit card to reduce the interest in that month) .
Im going to change my signature to reflect what I am working on in a current month too. I will do that in just a moment. It will help keep me motivated.:T
Jobs for today, chase ebay non payer and contact person collecting cupboard - see when they are coming for it.
I will write the list of jobs including the decluttering, ebay and stuff (oh we have done masses of work) and I shall try and look busy!
First - I will do my signature...

Well my week and day flew by, I was busy busy with the kids, getting DD2 ready for her Germany trip.
Ive done alot of tidying, and gardening and planting of veggies for the winter. Should be a good moneysaver.
I made 121 pounds on ebay, and have put that towards holidays. Only 27 days to go!!
My car failed its MOT so am in a wave of depression about that. How annoying that the bits which work are in fact also decrepit.
I shall settle back into the swing of updating my diary. Ive been thrifty while I have been off, and thoroughly enjoyed it.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Hi, Good for you on keeping in the thrifty way !:)
Sorry to hear about the MOT, do hope it will not cost you alot.05/03/14 £15,980 0n 2 CCs

I started my day today with Thomas the tank engine. 5am, they show that. I know this as DS decided it was morning at 5am, and that was that.
I showed a backbone of pure jelly and tried to cuddle him in in our bed,... but he just bounced on it chuntering in his little language.
DH was not at his most sparkling, while being bounced by a 15 month old. He was instrumental in the cot / tank engine winning combo.
I nodded back off for an hour ish, while the dulcet tones of Ringo Starr (these were old Thomas episodes) described the days adventure.
And on with the diary...
Thanks for asking and yes, my car passed its MOT. I would celebrate if I had any money left.
Because on hearing that news I went in the house and turned the washer on and the washer blew up. So I am booking a man to take a look on friday.
haha, it was cheap to fix the car, but I am on a stringent spending thing with it being the month of holidays, or holimonth.
Im almost wiped out at the bank at the moment.
This has been because of the car, its true. We do however have plenty scope on the credit cards which we may have to use for more things than we normally do and then pay off (we always pay off more than we used, and bring our residual balances down, and only use them for things like food and shopping to get a bit interest free period)
I will do some more batch cooking to save money. Its been great. We had some fish pie last night, was delightful, and from the freezer, made 2 weeks ago. I have all sorts of meals already prepared and good to go. Saves with the temptation of a take away.
Also will do cake, scones and pie, the great three.
Ive got some more things to list on ebay, some mini boden and monsoon stuff DD2 isnt wearing, so I will list.
So tonights plan - plan cooking for friday, list in ebay and do half an hours ironing.
Will post my ebay too, and go to the other house (where we have another washer) and pop a load through.
Dh is making the tea, bless him. Much better today, I recommend more than 2 hours sleep!!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Well its hump day, and looking forwards to the downhill run to the weekend.
Had a meeting at work yesterday afternoon, it was ever so dull, and ran out on 4pm to post my ebay and to put some washing through before collecting DS.
I collected DS from grandmas last night, he spends Tuesdays there, and they had spent the day in a park looking at an aviary and playing on the swings, but he was still full of energy, despite only having a total of an hours sleep in the day.
I was swiftly relocated to the garden, which was fine as it was hot and humid, but not so good when you want a drink / toilet/ anything from indoors which involves relocation of mountain boy while kicking his little leggys and wanting to be back out with dogs / pegs / footballs is best avoided or carefully managed.
Result was we went out with the dogs, he had ten minutes, and then there was a need to change a nappy and I took the opportunity to go loo, grab a drink, get the laptop and bag of ebay and I sat at the garden table listing ebay while keeping a close eye on the shenanigans.
I managed to list the stuff, which was great, this is my last lot of listings before holidays, and I will try and pop on a couple of mobile phone chargers later on, but they can wait til we are back if I dont manage those today (it was mainly the summery stuff like a monsoon skirt I wanted to list urgently)
I decided to get the bins in, as Tuesday is our bin day and opened the back gate and released DS and his accompanying doggies into the front garden.
I wont detail it too much, but this event took way longer than it should. This is a job which takes under ten minutes, and I was doing this for half an hour.We have four seperate recycling boxes / bags and a wheelie bin. Getting these from the front path while preventing escape of toddler who intermittantly was doing suicidal leaps from the steps and finding other danger and also passing time of day with the elderly neighbour meant DH was home in the meantime. haha
Together we relocated the bins and recycling and child and his canine companions to the relative safety of the back garden.
DH likes to get changed out of his suit and have a minute when he gets in from work (he isnt forced immediately into the back garden) and DS likes to go with him and watch Peppa Pig from his cot in our room and I tend to do a sweep of the living room or some other job, but last night I had to go to the other house to empty the load I had put on earlier and put on another load, which I need to collect this evening.
That was a simple exercise, and I was able to peg out while watching DS playing in the garden again, as Daddy was changed and he needed to be OUT!!
It was 7pm by this point and time to give DS some more food. He is still on 5 meals a day.
I relocated him indoors, and we watched some television and had a 5 minute cuddle, and I tidied round while he was in the highchair and gave him intermittant spoonfulls of food.
DH produced a lovely tuna steak and salad meal, and then I fed DS some more while he washed up. Bless him.
It was about 8pm, so DH took DS up to playin his room with the trainset, and I did half an hours ironing.
I had a bath, ten minutes on my own and then I was joined by DS, and we popped him to bed.
The night disappeared completely.
I had not heard from DD2 so I was a bit restless, and while we were just nodding off to sleep DH said he was feeling a little ill.
Then DS was disturbed, and I had to settle him again, he was a little clammy but it was a warm night, so I removed his covers, and by the time I returned to bed DH was looking a bit pasty, and was also grinding his teeth (grr) and had taken over most of the bed.
I had quite an uncomfortable night, and this morning have a neck pain, but DH is far worse off, he is rather ill and couldnt make it into work today.
I have had a text from DD2, shes fine and enjoying Germany.
I had a call from DD1, she is coming for tea tonight with the boyfriend, and I shall be busy. Hopefully, I will still manage to get some things done, even if its just a hoover or a tidy up.
Moneywise, I am still managing. I am also making some good sales on ebay. So far I have pending sales which finish on Sunday, of 43 pounds .
That can only go up!
Well, that was a tale and a half.
Still need my passports back, need to send off for a new photo driving license, and am hping the flaming tax disc turns up in the post.
Oh and also need to sort the cooking for the weekend...Trying to shift that debt!0
