And do u just do washing and ironing all the time?
Hope whne u all sorted u all have a wonderful holiday.
Aww cheers,
I seem to do alot of washing and ironing yes, Ive three kids and alot of pets and a kind of compulsive disorder with cleaning and washing and ironing.
My husband despairs, and does offer to iron, but hes so bad at it I could cry if the little uns wore his creased offerings. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hes a fabulous cook and can run the hoover over so Im happy to be launderess!! Keep hubby motivated by showing him the money owed coming down. Men like results, they just arent as keyed up on the methods of getting there, Im happy saving a pound, it all helps... :ATrying to shift that debt!0 -
millionaire_in_training wrote: »hello there. I've just read right through your diary and I am exhausted :rotfl:. Jeezo woman you are one busy lady. I thought my life was busy but I am lazy in comparison. Good luck with debt, house, ex etc etc
Thanks so much.... I was losing a little of my motivation this morning and these types of comments really gee me up!:)
I am a little hyperactive and the trouble with the money (as well as the legacy from ex husband and the slack wallet ethic) stemmed from me being bored and spending money really.
I had descibed my weekend as quiet to my friend Joanne. It meant there was only three bottles of wine consumed, haha.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Well we are onto the second day of the working week, and there are things to report!!
Well, I have come onto here today, fully intending an update, and I find all the supportive messages and my mood changed to a bit glum to alot perkier!!
I was still ok, but edging towards the misery guts end of the spectrum.:( No real reason, just a combination of lack of sleep with teething baby, the weather forecast being wrong and it raining while my whites are on the line and I am at work...and the ugly spectre of a judgemental school secretary upsetting the applecart!!:eek::eek:
I was sitting at work, minding my own business, well actually minding a colleagues business as his laptop was being shamefully noisy so I bustled in and decided to fettle it, when my mobile rang.
Its only on at work for emergencies. The school etc have my work desk number.
I picked up immediately.
Its a wonder the flaming receiver didnt melt, her tone was that sarky....
Is that Rs mum?
Yes.
Just to let you know shes broken her glasses, can you bring other ones up straightaway or come and fix them, thanks... (tone means about to click)
JUST a minute, Im at work, and I dont know where shes put her spare pair (she took them to Glastonbury, I havent seen them since, they are probably in the ex husbands caravan to be honest)
WELL! its up to you to make sure R has the correct equipment for school..
Yes I know that
I expect you to be here in 5 minutes... click.
WELL!!! outrage!! Has she any idea of the storage methods of an 11 year old girl(flowery boxes) add to that the retisence of her dad to hand back "things which might come in useful for the 4 days a month shes with me" ahem... they are for her not you...
Employed was one sleepy student DD1 (age 22) who tripped over to my house (as I felt like I was as maternal as Rose West at this point, as DD2 ONLY had one pair of glasses at her disposal while at school and I didnt care enough to make sure I could be there within the 5 minutes) who went for a good rut around her room, to no avail.
DD1 then went up the school, and inspected the glasses, a screw had come out, and she popped it back in and tighted it up with an earring.
She also told the school secretary her mum worked and held a very responsible position, and it wasnt like she was just a school secretary or something who could just drop everything to take spare glasses all over the county.:rotfl::rotfl:
(DD1 admitted this was slightly !!!!!y however she said her tone and the tutting throughout and quips of "cant your mother come and sort this out" and "can your mother not find her spare glasses?" a little too cheeky.)
so that was one thing
Next thing is the ex husband and his can I take her for 2 weeks holiday to Germany
Yes of course, Im sure she will love it.
We are going 31st july, and will be back 15th August. it was a week later originally.....
Its changing all the time. I shall let her go, but I am not letting her go when it impacts my holidays again - its too flaming faffy. The dates change - its all silly.:(
Good news, had a text from the CSA, can pay more bills and pop more money to one side (so we have some cash for the rest of the month).
Ate the beef au poivre last night, it was nice, did some chips with it (bit posh chav going on there) and DD1 joined us. We then had some cornish ice cream, I pretended it was low calorie and DD1 ate it.:T
We had company last night MIL and FIL, and as my car is still up the bloody creek FIL brought me to work today, my dad is taking me home. So not alot of housework or cleaning done, and no ebay either.
I need my finger out tonight!! :T:T:TTrying to shift that debt!0 -

Tonight, we dine on freezer remnants. Fishy ones at any rate. I made a highly spiced sauce which should make it interesting. :j
Im still decluttering the freezer... my car still isnt fixed...
ARGH
Ive made payments today, the child support came in, so there have been payments from the credit cards , which is good. :T
Hubby and I are having another baking and cooking night on Friday and Ive been encouraged to make more cake.
He has also just informed me, pie has all gone, haha.
I have had no more run ins with any educational clerical staff, so the days off to a steady start.
Theres time yet, as Ive just handed back a form for a trip and enclosed the monies to pay... but... its NOT THE EXACT CHANGE!!!
I have tried, but could not locate a 50p nor could I get there even with pennies.
I expect a retort via child tonight, this is par for the course, and shes famous for it.
I bet her husband loves turning up at home of a night. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
A steady away day today, some decent payments made today, more to be made tommorrow when tax credits are paid!
Made DD2 an appointment at the optician for Thursday night. Apparently my car will be ready by then. Apparently.
DH made a temporary repair to her glasses, so Im hoping the arm remains on for the next 2 days. Im also going to buy DS his first shoes tomorrow and I shall be browsing shops.
I am getting increasingly frustrated by not getting a decent flow of work through, but it allows me to look at MSE!:ATrying to shift that debt!0 -
I am surprised she is still married lol!
Skint, sounds like you are having some more harried days!
Wanted to report to you than due to your posts I am now up to 37+ on TCB, and have sold 2 further items this week on ebay. Have found a local site to sell bigger things that are too heavy to post (ie huge box of Brio trainset, baby changing table, high bed, travel cot etc).
And DS1 has a job! that starts a week monday! And pays! So will save next year on his uni expenses as I am making him pay for his own food. He moved to a more expensive house, so he can pay the food out of his new salary for the summer ;-)0 -
Im abit of a lurker really but just wanted to say I subscribed a while ago and am amazed at just how much you manage to fit into a day!! I am always saying Im too busy so you do inspire me to just crack on and get stuff done.
Cnt believe how long you have managed without your car too, whilst still not blowing a gasket....no pun intended
Keep at it and good luck x0 -
