Eeeh guess who is going on ANOTHER holiday?
Yep me. This is a freebie, thanks to Auntie Hazel, who sadly passed awayand left MIL a little gift, and she is taking us all to Centre Parks for a long weekend. I shall take a bottle of wine and raise a glass to her.
MIL rang me last night and asked me as I was FINALLY settling DS - who is teething AND has cold.. DH was out, and texting me an annoying amount like when I was just getting a mouthful of tea or trying to powder my nose.
DD2 returned from seeing her Gran just before, my Ex MIL, who had also rung to have a chat earlier on. MILs seem to like me. I dont know if its good or bad but hey, its good for the kids.
I am not structuring my story well today, shall we have a once upon a time start at the very beginning moment and retry? Yes good, are you sitting comfortably? Good.
Yesterday evening was a complete nightmare. No DD2, no OH. My dad had collected me from work and we collected DS from the childminder. Had scrounged a lift into work from FIL.
He was sporting a lovely new bruise in the middle of his forehead, and had ripped the button off his dungarees. Yey sewing! Not. I will have to find the needles.
My dad drove me home and we discovered my car was not finished. Joy. Forgive me if I dont beleive the car wont be ready tonight when I get home. Its meant to be. If it is I will be out driving like a linty.
I got in the house, and DD2 was absent, and DS was being a real clingy horror bag. Dh was not in. I got very little done, and as I had no sleep the night before was sooo tired anyway.
Ex MIL rang and told me she would fetch DD2 home, and had a bit chat about the new school in september etc.. I was looking forwards to seeing DD2, and shes a brilliant help with DS. Dh was texting asking how I was. I told him I felt rough but it didnt hasten his return. I changed three pooey nappes one after another!!! Migraine was making lights flash when i bent forwards, but it detracted from the pong. :rotfl:
MY head was hurting so much, DD2 helped me bath the baby and then it was bed.... and MIL phoned and said we are going to centre parks, we have 2 houses between ten of us, how should we arrange it?
I really didnt mind, as DS was nodding off, and then it was bedtime.
Oh I didnt hear DH return, although I may have argued with him when he did had I been awake as I was so uck. I slept through until 6.15 this morning.
Now I am at work and have been doing some more moneysaving things, although I had to book a man to do my ridge tiles on the other house this weekend. 250 pounds well spent though.
Ive posted 2 more jobs, the bathroom refit and the garden groundworks for the garage. Will see how many responses I get.
Going to purchase suncream at lunchtime, 2 for 1 at boots, bargain.
As its quiet at work today this afternoon I shall do some paperwork I brought in from home. Its more jobs jobbed and means the ever increasing things to do at home list can be addressed a little more practically tonight. :-)Trying to shift that debt!0 -

yes, it is. A small stone built semi. It was more or less a barn when I bought it for 5K 20 yrs ago. It was my starter house where I learned tiling, cementing and other various fun (or not ) DIY activities lol. It is in brittany and when we used to live int he channel islands we would spend weekends there. We weren't allowed to own our own home there, so this was ours.
It is small (really only one proper bedroom but the boys sleep in the above grnd basement) with a bathroom and one LR/Kitchen/diner with a small back garden. We only go once a year now (as we live up north on an island) and it takes two ferries and 1.5 days to get there. Hench the garden is no longer a garden lol. It is in Birttany abt 20 mins from the beach.0 -
Hiya Atush, Its sounds Brill a home from home in Brittany, and in the sun. Well done you to hang on to it al lthis time. :j

Its Friday!! Im on a half days toil (travel time from a few weeks ago) and have Monday and Tuesday off. Have childcare issues on Tuesday so thought I would take the Monday and take DS to the weigh clinic.:j
I am going to have a good clean and tidy up and may tackle some of the crap in my cupboard of doom over the next few days. DD2 is back with her dad this weekend (I know shes just come back but its his scheduled weekend:mad:) and I need to sort her bedroom a bit too. I will probably clear the deck ready, and then put stuff for her to sort in boxes, as its not getting done quickly enough.
Right I shall now check the bank balances, and do some general updates and call back later.
main points this morning...
still no car....
have stuff to take home on bus....
still suffering with migraine... much improved though
need to fill lots of forms in including tax credits....
DS not well going to Drs with his daddy
trying to stop smoking (dont smoke alot but its a means to a break at times)
I will be back later, as I need to count pennies and update my sig etc!
Im on countdown, at work and under three hours to go...Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Ah what a manic weekend, have cut grass, decluttered cupboards and inspired DD2 to a massive clean up tonight, and best of all it was hot and sunny so quality family time was had, 2 no spend days and still no car so lots of jobs done at home, washing ironing and gardening.
Ebay sales tonight are about £40. and I thought it would be a slow week!!
have listed a further three tonight, and will be photographing some more during the week!
its mounting up, the pot is growing!Trying to shift that debt!0
