Well my Nigella tray bake was a roaring success last night, and cheap to boot. Bargain Chorizo, chicken thighs left over shallots and some cloves of garlic.:A

Tonights meal offering is spag bol, and DD2 will then be despatched to Glastonbury. I will miss her, and I I dont relish the bag of filthy washing coming back.

Today I have checked internet banking and also the credit card balances. OHs residual balance is at 1000, so hes no spend and will have a new reduced residual balance of 950 after ive made the payment:p, Amex is work expenses so gets covered, one of mine has only the school uniform transactions on (will be cleared in 2 weeks) and the other is zero balance. Fantastic:D

The bank accounts are all nicely healthy, and thats good as I am wanting to book a holiday next week. Half a months salary remains, and I had paid for the guttering, and its payday on Friday. Thats all positive, considering a few months ago we were hand to mouth.:rotfl:

Posting ebay today, have made about £30 this weekend, which isnt the over a hundred of last week, but its a good amount for the old stuff and chuff!

Lunchwise, I have a work canteen salad, was so busy ironing and packing last night and collapsed in a heap on the sofa, but while collapsed with laptop I did 4 ebay listings, haha!:beer:

At lunchtime today, I went to Wilkinsons. Oh that shop is choc a bloc with bargains. I got some washing powder, fabric softner and baby wipes, and have estimated I saved £13 on the full prices!! :T

The only other thing I need today is to post my ebay sales, which will occur after work. My car should be ready today, yeeha!! If it isnt, I may chew off more limbs!!

I have an allocated car park space at work for the next month. I am having some paint pods and free machines (from Wilkinsons website, bargain) delivered to the store (it will probably be on Thursday), because its literally next door to the office and I can pop them into the car. So it better blummin be ready!!

One of these is for DD1, for redecorating her house, shes uber excited at owning her own electric painting device!!:rotfl:

Well I have eaten works canteen salad, and shall get back to work.

Well, DD2 is despatched on her trip, her father was typically an hour late and typically thoughtless in not informing my girl :mad:.

I decided to not do anything but the bare essentials following the washing and kitchen cleaning and Ive had a long bath and settled the baby, am a little flat and under the weather tonight.

Ive not even done any ebay! Just generally low, its silly but Im going to miss my girl for a week, and her crazy moshi monsters chat.

Will pull my socks up tomorrow and focus on getting things accomplished.

General wallow eh?:(

Will get laundry done and maybe do some more clearing out this week. DS can help, in his own style.

I can be a silly old goat. Friday, payday, and the debt will come down again... refocus!

I shall post my diary later on but if anyone can help with a problem with parental rights and an ex husband I would be most grateful

He wont give a contact address where he is, not even for the cencus. Daughter is with him every other weekend. (limit is meant to be 30 days if not disclosed on census)

He has asked to impact all the holidays I have booked off this year. He normally just had DD1 and DD2 a week during school holidays, and I had to manage the rest with help when childcare was required.

He makes arrangements via DD2 and puts her under pressure. He ignores my texts or emails.

Daughter has mobile phone but he sometimes takes it off her, if she is texting me too much!

He has new gf with three sons, and he now wants all school holiday times.

He and I are not friendly really, he is obstructive still with clearing the joint financial matters. Can I have advice!!

Missing my girl and still feeling under the weather today, so managed to photograph ebay and iron but not alot else.:mad:

Paid childcare early, great having money at the end of the month :j

Am quite upset with the situation with the ex husband and his total lack of concern with anyones situation but his own, but I will park that and hope someone comes back with some suggestions.

I suppose I have kept the peace for too long.... and it suited me to, because I lliked having the girls most of the time. It isnt reasonable to use me as a babysitter who washes DD2s clothes at the times shes not there though!! Also she cant just be made to go at his demand.

My car remains broken, it isnt funny. Bloke fixing it is ill, is asking a friend to do it for him now.

Its pants!

The only other thing Ive done has been ironing, and some bits of shopping at lunchtime, including paying in some loose change.

Should feel better tomorrow and have a more upbeat post

Payday tomorrow!!

Half a day at work gone already, had lots of texts from DD2 and a couple from DD1, and DD1 will be joining us for food this evening.

Feeling much more "up", still disgruntled about certain situations but at the moment they are parked.

Shall tackle some housework and ebay tonight, and will also get sorted for tomorrow, when we have a half day from work and do some team building over a meal and a drink. I will be home at the normal time though, as its a cheeky work related outing.

looking forward to tackling more debts, and clearing more stuff. Had a couple more ebay sales so need to do transfers of monies posting out etc, very exciting stuff! More for the coffers!

Whoop, its payday!

Got the bus into work today as I have no car, and I will be indulging in afternoon alcohol.:beer:

The bus was on time - although I thought I had missed it, as no one was standing at the brick shelter. I strolled up to the stop, and the bus pulled up... its like buses should be!! Have i moved to Utopia in the night?

I got into work half an hour early, and did some work, which allows me my time out now, as I didnt clock that time.

It was amazingly quiet for that first half an hour, and I was very productive, I may do that more often, as once phones start ringing and people arrive and theres the morning howdy hellos and how was your evenings it slows up alot, and the phones begin to ring and the emails come in with questions which require use of brain..... other such annoying things.

I could ask to work from home, however I am not the best candidate, there are too many distractions and my work, while being fairly well paid and responsible, is what i call wooly.

We dont make anything, we just have ideas on how things can be changed and provide some more ideas on how this will work.

We back all this up with some tricksy financial ness and flowcharts and things, which is kind of solid, but still... wooly.

Its pretty nice work, the investigations are good - its like Murder she Wrote without the murder and velour 2 piece... and then you have your ideas!:p

Todays plan:

1. Go for meal with colleagues, and have a cheeky cocktail.:j However, I always end up feeling underdressed, its tough being the one who doesnt clothes shop. I am still "streamlining" getting rid of things I no longer want. I am not puchasing at all!!

(there is alot of cheeky happenings in my dairy)

The sun is shining, we have had sooo much rain lately, its real bonus!! the grass needs cutting, so will hopefully dry out and I can get that done... at some point over the weekend....

2. Go home and do a good clean and sort... OH does not work fridays, he compressed his hours and looks after DS. When I get in, revitalised and all go, I shall say my howdy hellos and we shall get some things tidied and put away, and clean and sort out! It wont take much but I want it nice. Bring on the buckets of flash... I may try and cut that grass....

3. Sit and do a few ebay listings on turbo lister. Ive been a bit rubbish at getting the new things listed. I am just clearing decks, so want them out the house, the money is nice but its not the motivation, and it works out more lucrative that way!! I shall watch my soaps too.:rotfl:

4. Update spreadsheet after this months payments have been made. Will be nice to see the figures coming down. :T might even hop back on here and update my sig too!

5. book holiday :D:D

6. Bath and bed. :cool:

Tomorrow is the hair do and school reunion. We will also be doing passport photos too. We have babysitters at our house so I want it clearing up!!

Have not heard from DD2 today, and as the music starts at Glastonbury I hope they are allowing her a lie in, she needs at least 9 hours sleep.

my plans for the weekend are VERY busy, the car should be repaired today (there is another bloke doing it) and initial reports via text from DH report Bonnet Is Up!!

I shall of course be updating my dairy, with successes partial successes and things which werent quite a success but as failure is not in my dictionary we shall paint it up to be an alternative success!!

Eagerly anticipating the arrival of DD2 from Glastonbury, not so keen on the washing she will bring with her though! :j

I have been naughty, and have not posted since Friday morning.

Here is a run down of the “activities”

Friday afternoon, champagne bar and zizzi with the colleagues, was very nice. I got home to find my car is not repaired!!!!

No answer from bloke fixing it. I was so upset, I cleaned the entire upstairs, not DD2 room though, I would still be there… just a cursory wipe and mop in that little hovel.

I did 2 loads of washing, and I also did my figures spreadsheet. MUST remember to update sig, I am edging ever closer to the magical clearing 30k …

Took a phone call from Lloyds regarding PPI reclaim. Now it appears they wont tell you how much they are giving you. However, I am presuming its going to be about 2000 now, as that’s all I dare hope for.

I have another 2 PPI things on the boil, I am going to put half of anything I win against debts and the other half is going into the savings pot for the things we need. Its going to be great.

After the cleaning and updating the spreadsheet (still need to count up my small change and £2 coins though) I had a tv night with the hubby.:T


Saturday was busy - car was still not fixed, so it was hairdressers on the bus, and then back home for some tidying up, a bit washing, some sorting and then a bath and out at the school reunion. Was lovely seeing some old friends! We got rather drunk. DS was very good for grandma and granddad. I wore unsensible shoes and felt like a real girl. :A

I MUST MUST MUST cancel my Equifax this week, so when I am off Monday and Tuesday that’s a good job to do.

Sunday hot hot hot weather!!! More washing, changing the bed and ironing. Oh… I also cut the grass… it was tough with a bit of a hangover.

Dh was useless with it. All UGH and death. We don’t go out very much, as we are skint, but its just as well, as I may be tempted to murder him if he had whinged any more. We visited my mum and mr Tesco brought the shopping in the evening.


Monday and I am back up to date… back to work and still no flaming car, it means mornings are mental and I am reliant on people for lifts, so so annoying. I was assured today it will be sorted. Moneywise we are being thrifty and we have the holiday booked, so exciting! We are going to plan a weekend away with the kids too, after Christmas.

Tonights plan… ebay being collected… ebay to package…. Money to transfer … spreadsheet to update… a bit ironing…. A bit ironing putting away. Will try and get back later with a progress update!

A mixed set of results last night...:)

1. Ebay was collected, on time, more money for the coffers! Very nice lady collected them.:j


2. DD2 returned, sporting an odd aroma. I think it was "Skank" by Leunthersick. Many loads of washing done, many to go, DD2 forced to soak in the bath and have an earlyish night.:eek: didnt realise we had "killed her fish" while she was on her Glastonfest. Result was had to also clean out a fish tank. yey.

3. :mad:Car still not repaired, am now at the point of once the new pump is here, if its not on, I will get a mobile mechanic.

4. Had a lovely stir fry for tea, cheap and cheerful:money:, cheap prawns and a reduced veg mix.

5. Didnt list any ebay :-( or iron, or do any housework type stuff, but was really busy packaging ebay and sorting all the washing!!:rotfl:

I still have not updated my sig, and I do need to get on with some work today haha- I shall check my bank balances, and then call back later.

I am going to do a snowball calculator I think. It will show the "available money" until we move, sounds like a plan.:A

Ive been pottering on at work and now its breaktime I thought I would pop back and write my ramblings down again!

@ lunchtime myself and DH went to Wilkinsons to sort out the paint pod madness. I had ordered the machines (free) with the paint pods. Trouble is, they sent the wrong paint!

I said ok, I will take the machines and come back for the right paint when its in...

I was asked to then return the painting machines to the store. this was to make sure the correct paint order went in... apparently...

DD1 then discovered this offer, and she ordered paint pod paint and a machine....

Hers was delivered fine, a paint pod, and the paint pod device... I returned the 2 devices and re ordered the correct paint... then was given the devices to bring straight back out of the shop again. I also had to carry DD1s paint and paint pod machine. So I entered with 2 machines, and came out with three and a thing of paint. They didnt even look at them or scan them.

Now thats crazy. :think:

Hopefully can post ebay tonight if not I will have to do it tomorrow. Am still relying on lifts and dont want to put people out!
