Just a quick hello, have quickly caught up with all of your news over the last few weeks, my youve been a busy !!

Hope the sausage and mash turns out ok. Mr Pinot made Spag Bol all on his own on Friday for the first time ever. Well, without me in the room giving him instructions ! It was fab, and he only missed out one ingrediant that I would normallyhave used which was a good hearty slug of red wine ! The unfortunate thing was that the only person that noticed was my 11 year old daughter !!

  • My husband is an amazing cook and he loves to cook. I enjoy it too, but I am just so much better than him at cleaning washing and gardening so I take the lead with that. He does help out with them though but under my strict observation!! A nice glug of wine is not to be sniffed at!! It should be added to everything!

  • Day of Thor, or a ten day listing ends on a Sunday Day!

We sold 50 pounds worth of ebay treasure last night. Another 20 pounds to finish tonight (so far) and I shall be listing and packaging until the wee small hours I imagine.

I can see sunlight today which can only mean one thing. WASHING!!

I tasked my daughter to peg out and pop another load in this morning. I will be mightily annoyed if she hasn’t managed this simple job! At the end of the day last night I spent an hour ironing her gear for her dads this weekend. This is so it is ready - however she also requested a school blouse rather than a shirt for Friday, she has 2 of these and wore one on Monday and is wearing one today. So I will be ironing it tonight, or not depending on whether she has completed her job!

These are the hard lines and its about give and take, not just take.

Plans for the weekend: more gardening including removal of tree roots (thrilling stuff as it may involve the axe!!) visiting a garden centre and purchasing gardening gloves, compost, a plant for my nice blue pot and pricing up edging. Looking at wood stain to smarten up my table and also to stain and preserve some potting shelves which are recycled low shelves from my daughters room. Will also pop to wilkinsons at lunch today and see if there are any of these things there reasonably priced. Also need to price up bark chipping stuff which I need to stand the trampoline on eventually…

Cooking – batch cooking of course, baking and changing beds and cleaning at home. Ironing school uniforms and work gear for the next week.

More tidying at the other house, including some patching of the plaster and locating the textured wallpaper for sorting the back hallway, and then it can be sorted and painted.

Just paid another 2.96 off my Amex and got final bill for one childminder and asked new childminder for a bill cos shes a pay in advance.

Meetings today so might be quiet but probably wont!

I am going to copy and paste your apragraph re daughter, washing, pegging and ironing. Print it out and place it gently on DD1s dressing table for her to persue !!!

I requested her dark washing at precisely 5.30 pm last Friday on my return from hospital and am still waiting !! I have done some of her washing this morning but the whites only . In principle I am refusing to do the dark as I dont believe it was a very difficult task that was requested of her !! Your post made me giggle, not sure she will find it quite so funny though !! I am interested to hear the outcome !!! :D

  • We were in tescos on our lunch and instead of going through the "queuing bollards" - which were empty at the time we walked up the till, where we were stared at by a hefty oompa loompa who then finished her pressing conversation about someone who they obviously had no respect for / had to plainly answer to with a wolflike colleague who was periodically oohing at the spirits he was stacking on the shelves (meantime - clock is ticking - we are on our lunch).

Then this pre menopausal orange ball of creased tesco uniform and magical customer facing skills said "queue is that way". When we turned about, there were a number of ladies who were eligible for free buspasses and were obviously some silver haired shopping posse, each with a packet of biscuits and some tesco tea bags.

I stared at her for a good 30 seconds before departing to the "do the job yourself" till. I only went to the Oompa Loompa because we had a bottle of wine (cough).

Bear in mind, the husband was due in a meeting and I had just come out of one so had some reporting to do and we were pressed for time.

We had to wait for authorisation, and then I had to ask for it, and she only did it once the entire queue had been served, and after the grannies, there were a gaggle of teenagers with their m n ms- a couple of random blokes with copies of Nuts and a bag of crisps... this was plainly to teach us a lesson - we had to snake around the queue wether or not it was sporting a queue at the time.

I have complained via tescos complaint mechanism, and I was asking about their training policies, and staff monitoring, and have asked them to review the security footage from yesterday and see for themselves how myself and my husband were discriminated against. I do admit we both looked rather flash yesterday. I bet she thought flash gits, I will show them. But still, mess with me at your peril, Ms Loompa.

back later for a proper update!!

And Pinot, she pegged out and she popped another load in too.
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Well its Friday.

    Excitings!

Well, maybe. Last night more progresses were made with our right to buy application and some acknowledgement about form receipts.

We are paying both childminders this month but its going to be manageable. Partly because we have a 200 pound bond being returned by the old one and the new one is a lot cheaper. So we are at the same point we are normally but we are making savings with the new childminder moving forwards, not to mention the vouchers.

    Onwards and upwards.

No sign of the child support which was short, but Monday is child benefit day so some bills will be addressed then. This will allow me to pay a little more off the Amex come payday.

Also I am going to see my union rep today, as I am continually referred to in internal messaging as being disabled and I get a lot of correspondence with special mentions of my apparent disability things like getting a buddy and informing people of the toilet and whatnot.

Now, I am not getting any positives from this disability. It seems to be a methodology by which I can be excluded from certain opportunities whilst I am escorted from the building during a fire drill as I am incapable of walking out myself. Now, I am in a senior position. I am informing my colleagues when I go to the toilet for health and safety reasons as my mail informed me I should, but they are just a little bit too much in the know for comfort. This will be a “way of covering themselves insurance wise” as I was off with non contagious lunacy.

If I am having this tender care, can I please have a parking space and also have the flag removed from my personnel account which will stop me being anyone elses line manager.

DISCRIMINATION!! Here we go. This should be fun.

I will continue this once I have seen the union….

Right I need to let them know I am not a wheelchair user or have learning difficulties and just check its not some mad error.

Had a text off the old childminder who said that she would like paying before next Thursday as the boy isn’t in there anymore after that, despite us paying for a weeks holiday at the end of the month. I said I don’t get paid til Friday she said that will be fine.
    Bet it will.

    Anyway.

Husband is doing some jobs at home and I am plugging away at work. Leaving at half three posting ebay and collecting DD2 from school.

Plans for the weekend remain unchanged however luckily for me DH is taking the pressure off by changing the beds etc today. Tonights ebay stands at 20 pounds and I have some more to list while I do my relaxing!

And for YOUR information I have enclosed copies of the banking code and FOS complaints process, with some relevant paragraphs highlighted. 7 days to respond, thats what they have. From the date of the letter. So next friday. And I shall be Fossing them.
