  • Oh goodness,I am so so looking forward to feeling like I have month at the end of the money!!

  • I think what I need is a quick win.
Well - dont we all?? But you know a nice incentive building win, where I can begin to reap an immediate benefit. Or just get some wind in my sails.

My plan after discussion with the husband is to get our heads down and clear these things.

I am no longer using three credit cards. These are in my overflow purse. I am taking a credit card off DH. This will go into my overflow purse, so its only having payments made to it. There is a contingency there where if the car for example breaks we will have to use one but this should make sure we are getting them down and rid of them asap.

However, one of them -has only got a 300 limit and I think has 250 on it at the moment, but I will clear that then use it to repay vodafone before clearing it again and getting rid. That will mean no interest for a month in between clearing it and the next clearing.

Once that has gone I am going to snowball the payments I have to have a credit card for work travel and i do clear these normally but my illness meant I have let balances creep on them.

Its not alot, and its not crippling and I think if I look at my debt in supreme isolation its not that bad. As for my totals, I should look at them again. I should imagine it hasnt moved much and in 6 months, thats really terrible. So onwards and upwards. Ill check and update my totals. and start from there,,,, back in a bit with a report!

Savings on the cards are in rent, childcare and husbands payrise.

Childcare from August will save 300 a month.
Payrise from July an extra 150
Rent from October I hope, save 200.

Time to sell sell sell with a renewed focus!

    Hey K

If you find that focus, can you send me some?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    GREAT NEWS AND BAD NEWS

Thats life, isnt it, ying yang... well....
Bad news despite informing tax credits of every feasible change the tory government was elected and lowered all the limits, then I foolishly had a bonus.

Now we have to pay back another bill to HMRC, for 1900.

Ive negotiated an initial £50 a month. Its interest free, and it isnt on my credit report. Walk on!! However, it impacts my available monies, so thats cruddy.

Ok, good news, right to buy has been okayed, I already have a mortgage agreed, so valuation and then we are cooking with gas. Bring on home ownership of another home lol and a £250 a month saving.

  • Morning all!

Ebay is up to 78.89. This is great.

I am going to have to build in to my DFD this new HMRC debt. Le sigh. Looks like its going to be 2015 before I am debt free.

Although, heres to mortgage debt so my journey will continue and I shall be attempting to become mortgage free afterwards, so I have in truth a good 20 years plus of getting rid of debt! never mind, I shall go and bite the bullet and change my signature. Back shortly with the plan of the day.
