BF won't rest until he has written a letter. If it was me I could ignore but he won't. Or I would simply tell them to naff orf!

Any advice on wording appreciated. Am reading other threads that say don't mention the word appeal - just dispute...

Seriously, if he writes, then the PPC will get the impression that he is taking this way too seriously (which he is), and will simply focus more on him being someone who might potentially cough up if enough pressure is applied.

He'll end up getting more junk mail than if he'd ignored them.

The PPC are unscrupulous individuals who aren't going to pay much attention to a nasty letter.

If he is adamant that he needs to write something all he needs to say is he denies any liability for any charge.

No explanations, no details - short and sweet.

The details are for the Court papers - which will never arrive.

My BF is in a line of work where he is not allowed to get into ANY sort of issues or risks his job, hence the anxiety.

Does he really think he can be sacked for ignoring a scam? Tell him to read his contract.

As the others have said, complain to Lidl but DO NOT contact the PPC. They will see this as a sign of weakness and increase the threats.

It matters not what he writes - he might as well explain why aliens prevented him from following the rules - they won't read it. All he'll get is more hassle from them.

Before he posts it get him to read some of the threads on here.

The advise is very simple - IGNORE the PPC. If he's that angry then take on Lidl - they have far more to loose.

    Thanks.

He is adamant he wants to write so I've lifted the template from Martin's page on this and we are also going to send a copy to Lidl head office and our local store.....will keep you posted.

Tx for taking the time out guys to reply, it's great to have support.

BFhas now scanned me the 'invitation to treat' them with this money and I've noticed that BOTH photos are of the car ENTERING the car park.

One of them clearly shows us OUTSIDE of Lidl property at the time they said we were overstaying our welcome! What a bunch of prats they are.

Think I'll just send them the pics and ask them to look at them again, as a little game, like one of those 'spot the error' competitions!!!

He was most impressed with my knowledge of parking tickets so I had to fess up that I'd taken some very experienced advice!

What amazes me is if this took place on Sunday you getting a letter today.

They must be desperate for the money.

Ignore them, I did and they went away.

The images mean nothing and have no value as evidence. Ignoring them is still by far the most sensible option.

Really? Goodness this topic really is a minefield....I will certainly be on the look out at supermarket car parks from now on.
