Who colour co-ordinates their tree?

Oh i'm a nuisense with co-ordinating EVERYTHING
All tree decorations are silver, white or clear - so all wrapping paper is white and/or silver, and the table settings are silver, white or clear and then all other decorations around the house are silver, white or clear.
My little'un is desperate for more colour but it would drive me mad if it didn't all match that i would have to take it all down and decorate again if i gave into her wishes

Boyfriend can't understand why. Boy, is he in for a big surpise when he moves in with me.

:rotfl: :rotfl: Yes I had the same! However he's now my hubby and we've been married for 6 years so I think he's getting used to it!!!
Ours are co-ordinated lilac/purple/silver this year as I've had a colour change in the living room - DH just groaned and accepted the tramp around the shops for new decs! Only thing that is allowed every year is the bauble we bought my daughter for her first christmas.

Ive always had green, red and gold decorations (same ones every year for about 15 years now, very moneysaving!!!! and i think they still look really nice) However, once i had the children, the christmas tree now has lots of other 'bits' on it that we have collected over the years (disney figures, angels, teddies etc) but it still looks lovely.0

ours has to be colour co-ordinated. last year was red and gold. but this year is silver and purple. then I have an excuse to buy mini dairy milks and buttons and hang these from the tree.
we also have no tinsel, apparently last year I said it looked tacky (I don't remember this) and we threw it all away!0 -
We have two trees - One is co-ordinated, it's all blue, silver and white and is just baubles and white lights, don't like tinsel! All the decorations are from our wedding 2 years ago as we got married at Christmas and those were the colours.
The other tree is a bit of a free for all and is my son's (aged 4) own creation - with a little help. It does look a bit tacky but he loves it so I guess I do too! He is very quick to point out to all our visitors which is the "best" tree and his is the one with all the presents under so that makes it much more attractive.
Really interested to read about everyones trees.0 -
My tree isn't colour co-ordinated with the room, but all the decorations are! All are silver, clear or purple! Although I was looking at it the other day thinking that it might be time for a change, but then again that's changing for changing's sake and not because they're all broken, so I might stick with it for a few years yet!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts

Mine would be colour co-ordinated if I had any colour :-)
My home is netural through out, all the walls are cream or white. Pale oak wood (on the floors, kitchen cabinets, living room furniture, dining table ECT). Tiles are white (bathroom) or cream (kitchen). Chrome door handles, electric boxes, curtain rails, light fittings ECT.
I have an oversized rasberry red linen headboard, specially made & it's the ONLY bit of colour in my home.
If I were prime minister I would outlaw ALL xmas lights except white NON-flashing ones & also outlaw anything except those on the outside of peoples homes.
I like green garland type of decorations, with brown fir-cones in them. Green trees with brown bauballs & white lights. I like the sweedish lights for front windows.
I HATE any decs that hang off ceilings :-( or spray fluff sprayed on windows :-(0 -

I even extend this to daughters bedroom, as her room is pink/purple so are all her tree decs and lights. I can't stand it when its all differenct colours- blame my parents when I was a kid, they just put loads of tacky coloured stuff everywhere. Oh, kitchen has to be co-ordinated aswel, coz there is no tree, decs have to match colour of walls and tablecloth/napkins/runner.
You all must think I'm mad:o
Oh, thank god I'm not the only one..:rotfl:I was going to take over the world but got distracted by something sparkly.......0
