  • Thanks very much Taxi for the long and really helpful posts. I'm not sure whether I'll go with Tiscali now after all, but from what I hear of most ISPs they all have problems every now and then, especially with their customer service departments:mad: . If the actual performance and connection are good, plus a brilliant price of course, that's usually good enough for me. I'm afraid I'm a bit of an ostrich and assume nothing will go wrong to need complaining about:o . It's only when I hear of other people's woes that I get the much needed kick up the backside! So thanks for your 'rant' and I hope getting it off your chest made you feel a little better in the end.

I hope you managed to get a good night's sleep and feel more positive this morning. Just think of your lovely sparkling home after your daughter has done her magic on it.

Big hugs. Don't let all this get you down, your optimism and resilience in the face of a lot of knock-backs has been a real inspiration to me:A .

    Take care of yourself today

Hi Taxi, I haven't seen your daughter yet, so assume she is still on her way armed with mop, bucket, pledge and a load of bin bags :rotfl:

Fantastic about the weight loss! And the clean house. :) No so good about the washing machine though - hope it doesn't cost much.

Hi taxi! Sorry I have not been around to offer much support through the Tiscali saga but I have been running around like a blue a...d fly all this week!

I hope you get some satisfaction after writing to the Head Office - and make sure you get that letter off soon. Damn Customer 'Service' in the UK makes my blood boil and I wish more people would write/complain. (And thank people/write when exceptionally *good* service is received too may I add!)

    Anyway, good luck with that.

Sorry to hear about the washer not properly washing. But the weather is supposed to be pants over the next few days so you might not have got a lot done anyway so look at it that way. Can you nip around to a friend/relative to get any essentials washed?

WELL DONE on the weight loss too! :T

Hi everyone...are you all ready for the next saga off my sorry little life?....well...here goes...lifes a !!!!! sometimes isn't it?....luckily the washing machine won't cost anything as I have extended warranty...I do on all electrical goods....so no hassle there except no washing getting done...now the car!!!!.....I had it's piece of trim fitted today ready for the pits just leaving me new front brake pads to be fitted nearer the time 6th sept....I drove away ...went to Asda got my weeks shopping for £18 very DFW...got back into the car and the power steering didn't work....so had to phone DH for him to get in a taxi £5...to drive the car back to the garage as I couldn't drive it like that due to my op....cost £197!!!....so what did I do...I bought a brand new car as the bills are getting too large on this one....now it's 6 years old and the amount of miles it does....so she is going to be our leisure car and will last a long time as she won't do many miles.
The car was a bargain brand new Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 diesel with metallic paint....£12995....I saved £3730 off list price...thank heavens they neede 14 car sales for this quarter....I was going to wait until next year to buy a car but I think it makes financial sesnse now due to the high repair costs ...and....I broke my diet yesterday but back on it today...stress...who needs it...

Ooh, a new car! I am sure you will keep it going for ever.

Hope the weekend doesn't bring you any more disasters.
