Hi Whatatwit,
The old style cleaning tips are excellent..I will be using those in about 12 months when I eventually run out of cleaning stuff...lol.used to shop way to much..
the storecupboard challenge I'm already doing
the pin money challenge looks interesting..that's where you make savings buying cheaper.bogof etc and save the money saved in a pot towards something you want..probably best when debt free..but will give that some thought..
seperate pots for seperate things is good but I find this alittle hard at the moment
I will keep reading the book and may find some other things to do
I console myself with little things will lead to the big things ..so will keep plodding on and chipping away ...if I can get through each month with less debt than the month before ...then i'll be winning...my biggest dents will probably come in the summer season as that's when I make more money...my most important thing is to put money away every week for my tax bill..in feb when I stop smoking..I will pay the full amount (£70 p/w) off my credit cards and any other spare...
I will be ecstatic if this time next year ..to have cleared the ccs, sofa and tax...and to have the tax ready to pay for jan...big challenge but I'm up for it!!0 -
Hi!
I have been reading your diary - you write it very well, it's like having a proper chat!
Well done on everything you have accomplished so far, and waiting until February is an excellent idea to give up smoking. Jan can be really flat and someone very early this year actually did a mathematical equation to show that one of the last days in Jan is the the most depressing.
How do you do a "link" to read a diary? I've often wanted to follow a couple (perhaps start one myself)(but you'd all be bored within seconds!) but when there are XXXXX posts, it looks a bit daunting.....
Thank you,
KIf you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

Hi 1stepcloser...thankyou for reading and your comments..as for a link at the top of the page I think it says thread tools..click on that and subscribe to thread..click on that and that's it I think...then when you want to look at it again...at the top of the page is quick link..click that...then subscribed threads..then that's it...go ahead do your diary...it helps to get it off your chest...I thought mine would be boring as well..but people do seem to read it...if anything I go through helps anyone else that's great as ew're all here to help each other and it is a long process...where else can we so openly talk about our debts...that in it'self is a relief...always do what you feel comfortable with0

I have invested in some Stardrops and some microfibre cloths. I've been using those for wiping paintwork and that.
I too am trying to empty my cleaning cupboard, it's quite liberating to throw away an empty bottle and not have to replace it.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
You sound so like me whatatwit...the marketing is very clever to have seduced us all to pay so much for our goods and services...it's a common theme on here for everyone to have loads of stuff in...no coincidence...eh...funny since joining here I seem to have become very cynical but I guess that maynot be a bad thing if it makes me aware of what I'm spending..new rule only spend if I need it...lol..Does the stardrops work?0

Thanks Taxi! I found the thread thingy but it looks as though there is heavy traffic/back ups being done, so I will try a bit later.
Stardrops are amazing except in the bathroom. Back to Flash bathroom for that unfortunately. and at least hubby knows what that particular bottle looks like...............he can understand computers inside out...........but doesn't understand "that spray bottle with the mixture in it next to the bleach"....sigh.....:rolleyes:If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

Yes, it does a good job and you don't need a lot of it.
They rave about it on the Old Style board.
It's cheap as well. I got mine from Wilkinsons less than £1.
I think I have every flavour of Mr Muscle going.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
