I'm a taxi driver...so never know what I'm going to earn from one day to the next...which makes life difficult..thankyou for your kind offer of going to Goa in my place...but I wouldn't want to put you to all that trouble...lol:rotfl: ..and thanks for your kind comments...all comments/suggestions are all welcome as that's the point of being on here..all helping one another...2 heads are better than one...hence with all us lot we should be able to work miracles..lol

my stepdads a taxi driver so yeah i know what you mean...just been hearing from my mum about having no cash as he was off the last weekend.

it's no trouble, really :rotfl: or rather it would be, i'd need to get a passport for one thing! so ok i'll stay here and work i do have six days off over xmas so i'm sure i'll find some way of keeping myself amused!

little after thought, what about making your taxi a no smoking zone to help you cut down the fags in preperation for feb? also works with the house, my ex managed to quit over xmas last year as my flat was a no smoking zone (always has been) and he couldnt cope with standing out in the cold!

Hi lyns...thanks for that suggestion about the cab...I would give up now the only problem is that because I wouldn't have given up for long before my holiday..I wouldn't be able to stick with it while having a drink on holiday...if you know what I mean...the only time I have a drink is when i'm on holiday so it doesn't pose a problem when at home as i'm a saddo that has no social life...lol...my choice as I drive 6 days a week...I wouldn't wish to be over the limit the following morning...so I know I will manage when I come back:T

well peach ..never a truer word spoken...I'll be here forever at this rate...you're doing well...winters the hardest time for me...even though I spend less...due to the fact that I end up subsidising the business sometimes...things will be different this year though I promise

I'm the same though, want to improve next year. The hardest thing is cutting out all the random rubbish I buy, but I'm getting better!

my mums the same taxi, never sees the point in trying to give up before xmas and new year so tries in january. fails every time tho...:rolleyes: i'm sure you have more willpower than her tho! your a dfw afterall!

as for the lack of social life, it means you don't spend as much money. my social life costs me more each month than food!
