HI Taxi
I felt faint when I read about that huge expenditure! But all achieved in a true MSE way.
I've got a friend with a new baby too, I spoke to her today and am hoping to visit in December but she's in Somerset so it's a whole day out (and expensive) to get to see her.
It must be very satisfying that all your struggles with Tiscali have paid off and they are having to grovel.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Hi Taxi - bet your friend will be delighted with that little lot!
Good amount of points too - don't forget when you go in to check the boots advantage card machine and see if you have got the free vouchers for the mini haircare products!

Hi Seax and Sea...it's rather a lot of money I agree but our eye tests were due about 3 months ago..so I just hung on to see if I was going to be entitled to Tax Credits..due to last years income...I'm certainly glad to see that Tiscali seem to be getting their act together at last...
I know how you feel..can't wait to see this little one...most of the stuff in boots was buy one get one 1/2 price ...will go in next week and have the points added..and will check the machine at the same time...I think she'll be happy with those..I picked up the 2 outfits and DH bought the other stuff...and I bought the bag and the card...so am thinking of popping round after tea...0 -
Evening all...first chance I've had to pop on here today!!!...was quite busy at work today then this afternoon I had to take some stuff back to boots as they still had the security tags on them..they gave me a £10 gift card...so that was nice of them...got back and little man was here until 6.30pm ...he loves all his new stuff and is rather happy...then i popped round to see the new baby and delivered his goodies ...his mummy and daddy were very happy with them so that's nice...and I had lots of cuddles with one seriously cute baby...so nice positive day today...
Just put my £40 in the holiday savings and we are now on £300...will put my tax money in on monday ....so alls looking well...
Got a large joint of beef roasting for tomorrow...this will do for a few days ...DH just has to make the other stuff...
Not a lot else going on...take care xx0 -

Evening all..hope you are all well...
Not a lot to report....went to work today and it was an ok day..am meant to be cleaning the kitchen this weekend as part of Hypnos challenge but I'm very tired so am going to have a long soak in the bath and a facial and have an early night...so it may get done tomorrow but I don't know...will have to see...
I'm still not up to full strength from this op...it's taking me all my time and energy just to work to earn money...I'm only doing about 40 hours a week on the cab at the moment...and managing to keep up with the washing and a bit of housework...when will I ever get some energy?...or am I lazy?....like I said not a lot to report...have a good weekend everyone...take carexx0 -
How can you think you are lazy when you are working full time hours AS A MINIMUM!! Sorry, but you need a good slap so that you stop thinking this way!
40 hours is more than most people work in a full time job - that is without recovering from a major op. On top of this you are debt busting, keeping house, and looking after DGS too!
What you DO need to do, is take things easy until you are fully recovered - you are way ahead of where you thought you would be with the debt repayments and I know how much you want them cleared, but taking your foot off the gas for a bit, and cutting yourself some slack will preserve your health and your energy for longer and in the long run will allow you to pay off the debt quicker.
so there.........anyway, hope you have a relaxing evening, with a bit of a pamper xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
