Urgh, what a horrible part of the job that must be, driving smelly people around. I hope it doesn't happen often. Yuk yuk yuk.

  • What a horrible day, Taxi:eek: . At least Wednesday can only be better than that!

I feel for you having a stranger pee in your lovely new car. I stepped in to do the school-run for a neighbour when she had a minor op and one of the little blighters I had to pick up (who lives at the other end of the village and who I'd never seen before) did that in my car too. I was amazed at the capacity of such a small bladder! I know it wasn't really his fault, he's only 4, but the smell seemed to linger for ages despite all the cleaning and freshening products I used:mad: .

Good luck sorting Tiscali out (again....)
    Have a good day

Evening everyone...had a better day today...forgot doggy had his bath but luckily was in when she came...so a little unexpected spend but he smells lovely , has had his nails clipped and has been stripped...he has such a thick coat...
The pee woman had the cheek to phone the cab firm last night for a cab and DH was given the job but refused to do it..so he phoned the office and explained so she didn't send her one...10 mins later DH was driving past her house and saw her getting in another firms taxi...good riddance I say...she gave DH a dirty look but who cares...don't expect her to pay up anyway...the problem is she phones on the system that the computer automatically allocates the job to the nearest cab but we all just put it in as "no job"" ....then she doesn't get one unless somebody unwittingly(as in my case yesterday morning but never again)...turns up...
Tiscali is near sorted they haven't took my money for 2 months and I'm trying to pay it!!!...but they know what the problem is...
Work was fine today...did ok money wise...nothing much happening otherwise...my day off tomorrow and both DH and myself have an eye test at specsavers tomorrow...
Also a friend had a baby boy this morning so will be buying a present and card tomorrow for her..so expensive day coming up but all needed all the same...so not bothered...babies don't come along often and due to driving we have to keep our spectacle prescriptions up to date...wonder if we can claim that back on tax?
Hope everyone is ok...take care xx
  • Just caught up and sorry to hear that you had a bad day. Yuck to have someone peeing in the car AND not paying! Gross! If you can just try & let it g...do the firm follow up when things like this happen? I suspect not but its not good for you is it!
Lovely news re the baby - they are a gift & precious and while unexpected pressies do !!!! up the budget I'm sure they're worth it really!Keep up the good work, you're doing amazingly!

HI FF..the firm don't follow it up ..unfortunately...it's hard to let go as I was so angry...some people have no respect...I can understand why some cabbies have crappy cabs...
Can't wait to see the little one tomorrow..just glad he's here safe and well...he was due a couple of days ago but because she didn't know what she was having I was waiting until it was born to buy something..so will happily do that tomorrow...so was in the budget along with the money for our glasses...I haven't been spending at all so it will feel like a complete blow-out..lol...will put it on my CC that I pay off in full every month as it's a cashback card...so will get a few pennies back...
Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves as my grandma used to say....that's so true..take carexx

hi Taxi, just caught up on the last couple of days - what an up and down time of things you are having!

I hope today is good for you - I don't see why you can't put the cost of the eye test/glasses etc against tax, if it is a requirement of the job. Worth a try anyway, and you could get that tax bill down to nothing!!

bins.....that reminds me that mine need to go out today......will get dressed first though, it is not a good look for the neighbours to see otherwise :rotfl:

    Have a good day x

Afternoon all...I'm worn out walked to town and back ..that was the most MSE bit of the day...lol...
I spent nearly £200 in total at the opticians but that was for 4 pairs of glasses..2 designer pairs for me..one of them being a pair of sunglasses..and 2 pairs for DH..both of his are varifocals and one pair is sunglasses ...as I have got tax credit now ..they asked if I was on tax credit ...so I said yes and that saved about £120...I'm going to try and claim them on my tax...
Then i spent £84 in Boots but got 1336 points for that..will have to take my card back to have them put on...I bought the new baby a lovely coat and a full outfit...a double pack of baby wipes,a toy and a large pack of pampers...then I bought my DGS a Bob the builder coat, a pair of jeans, a top and a hat and gloves set...so thought that was very good value and DH gave me £20 cash towards that and I paid on my cashback card which will be paid at the end of the month...
Tiscali..phoned me and are crediting me with another £30 on my bill and are very sorry...and are making sure that am totally on the right package..they haven't been billing me enough as I told them but I don't have to pay the extra as it's their fault...and they haven't took any payments for 2 months either...I've tried so hard to pay them!!!...we're 95% there now...she will be back in touch mon/tues when provisions have checked everything for me...so am hopeful that will be it then....but..you never know and the 2 idiots that spoke to me the other day are both getting retrained...one had threatened to suspend my service..silly boy...
Not much else happening...sick of answering phone to people trying to lend me money!!!
Will probably go out to see new baby later..awaiting phone call..take carexx
