Hi everyone..perhaps it's 5000 points on the card not sure tell him to ask in the garage...I'll be filling up again in the morning so will ask then...last night was the same as usual traffic wise(during the season) of course it ends today....though it has been really quiet on the cab today ...I'd only took £55 by 1pm so decided to nip to Asda to buy a £5 tin of chocolates for the office staff....and they had some organic orange juice reduced to 60p so got 4 of those for the freezer and some silverside joints of beef reduced to £4,£4.50 and £4.70 so bought those as well and 2 packs of 18 carling lagers(36 in total) on offer at £20....so bargain shopping....
FF I do rest honestly....I don't do much really ...only got to buy hubby something yet and pick up something for the boys then I'm done...that's really organised for me...lol...
Hope everyone is having a good weekend...xxx

Right Sea ...I've looked it up for you...you get 15 points per litre then when you've got 4995 points apparently equivalent to 333 litres you get your £5 voucher given to you.Hope that helps
  • Thanks for the useful fuel info Taxi. I don't think I'll be bothering with it though as I do as little mileage as possible these days by doing 'big' shops at Asda and Lidl only twice a month and as little as poss driving for everything else. It would probably take me over 6 months to clock up 333 litres(about 74 gallons to my reckoning:confused: ) for the £5 voucher:mad: . Add to that the extra mileage to get to a Morrisons in the first place, I'm probably saving more with my current system.

    Have a good week

Hi Imp...it was worth it to us as we use loads of fuel...I have gathered 1115 points in a few days..lol...
I wouldn't bother myself except that we use loads ...I use next to nothing in the other car ..a tankful can last me a good few months...so I can see how it isn't worth it to you...
Today has been really busy on the cab...I finished at 1.30pm and went to the bank and to fill up...I have just transferred £100 into my tax savings and will be attempting to do this every week...I have also added my holiday savings on my sig today...not a lot else happening here...
I also phoned my accountant today as he said my books would be ready...I've to have a review with him on wednesday at 4pm...don't kmow what for but his wife said he's doing quite a few...so it must be a new service!!!..will have to wait and see...really need to know what my tax bill is though...then I know what I'm up against
  • Well done on another good day on the cab, it must be lovely to see the profits mounting up now after all the time you had to be off through your illness.

With you talking about your takings sometimes I've remembered how when I was a very little girl that I wanted to be a bus conductress(I doubt you're old enough to remember them:rotfl: ) because I loved those leather shoulder bags they had for the cash, and always thought they got to keep all the money they collected:rotfl:.

By the way, it seems an age since you were working hard to get your accounts done and off to the accountant. Is he always this slow, or aren't you in any rush to get them back? Sorry, I'm a real nosey-parker!

HI Imp...he's really slow ...unfortunately!!!!...I may have to change to somebody else next year as I like to know where I stand...LOL at the conductress thing...that really made me smile....it does feel a lot better being back at work and earning again...and feel that I'm getting somewhere at last...can't wait until it's all gone...lol..
I'm not over worried about the amount that I owe the tax man because I have a couple of choices...
I could pay it out of my O/D as I am allowed £5k on that
or I could use the money that I would use as an overpayment on the barclays CC...
I just want to know as then I know what I'm working on...
You're not a nosey parker at all...I don't mind ..ask what you want

Thanks Sea ...you snook in when I was posting...your thanks button isn't there yet for some reason so will press it when it comes up.I gave him the papers months ago...so it's really annoying but on the other hand he's short staffed this year...so I really should be more patient
  • Evening taxi. Glad you had a good day.

Here's hoping your accountant gets his finger out soon! Is it the type of thing where you can say to him "I need the figures by x date" ?

Some people need deadlines! But maybe it doesn't work like that. Was just a thought.

Hope you have a good day tomorrow as well! I have had a day off today and I have to go back tomorrow :(...bah!

Oh well, another day closer to pay day if nothing else!
