Afternoon all...have been to work today and done pretty well(i'm normally off today) and am looking forward to my day off tomorrow.Not a lot interesting happening here..just read through Martins e-mail and was in tears at that poor mans loss of his son to meningitis...and taht is friend claire had set up a just giving page for donations to meningitis trust in memory of the little boy...the girl was forgoing her 21st birthday presents in aid of this and hoped to raise £500 she has raised over £2000 now...it's such a moving story...tragic and lovely at the same time...IYSWIM...tragic for the loss of the little boy lovely as a girl of such a young age is so thoughtful!!!...I've donated what I can afford...it really brings life into perspective..doesn't it?
Take care everyone0 -
What a sweet lady you are, taxi. How lovely of you to think of helping others financially when you are having problems of your own.
Glad your day's work went so well. Now you can really enjoy your day off.
You take care of yourself

Thanks for that Imp...back to work tomorrow...why does a day off go so fast?...
I'm really chuffed today as the travel agents phoned me to say the holiday was on sale now...Yippee!!!!...so we have booked 2 weeks in Mexico all inclusive for Jan 2009 and have paid the deposit...it's a long way off but gives us something to work towards..so I have about 15 months to lose my weight and save up but most of it will be paid for out of the £40 p/w that I'm getting...I'll just add a bit more to it...the balance isn't due until oct next year so thats good...I'll get nectar points as well as it's Thomsons..so I had to go to Sainsburys to get a card...I don't know what you do with the points so will look into that...while in sainsburys I signed up to a new energy supplier and will get a load of points for that...they'll all go towards next christmas...no debtbusting happening...though I've been having NSDs so thats got to be good....0 -
That was my 2000th post as well...0

Happy 2000 post! (Although I am seeing you have posted more since then
)
Oh fabby - you have the holiday booked. All that time to save & lose some more weight....wicked. What a fantastic thing to work towards.
Look forward to reading your progress!
LyndsayJane has ordered a 'rebounder' now...I have one....soon you will be able to get on yours.....we'll be a trampolining trio!
Sainsburys nectar points....you just get points when you spend at Sainsburys or wherever you can use a Nectar card....then you can exchange them at the till to pay for shopping or you send off for vouchers that you can use at the shop or other places in conjunction i.e. Alton Towers or wherever.
Hope that helps.

Hi taxi
What great news you have booked the holiday. I would love to go to Mexico. I have to walk past a travel agent almost every day and it always upsets me to see the holiday offers, and think that for the amount I pay every month in debt repayments I could have a great holiday. So I'll be following you to Mexico in... er... 2012 I guess.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
