Hi everyone ...sorry I haven't been about for a couple of days ..just being lazy really and I haven't been back to work yet!!!..will be going in the morning though..
LA yes he can claim Incapacity Benefit..as that is based on contributions..you can self cert for the first 7 days but must then provide a sick note...it is only £61.35 p/w but better than nothing at all..if he has a wife that doesn't work he may be able to claim income support top up but that depends on her income...he will have to go to the job centre who will then give him the number to call and they arrange to do the form over the phone..I did mine the week before I went in hospital ..hope that helps,,
Thanks sophiesmum and Hypno.will go now as going to bed0 -

Hi taxi - thanks so much for that advice re: benefits, I will tell my Mum (she doesn't work, she is retired now as she is 62) as you never know it could mean the difference between the mortgage being paid or not. Yep, she's 62 and still paying a mortgage. Sigh. (Step Dad is rubbish with money but that's a *whole* new can of worms I won't open up here!)
Anyway taxi - I do hope you are feeling LOTS better and that you have not had to push yourself too hard today.
Though being out and back at work is sometimes better than sitting at home when you are feeling somewhat better isn't it?
Take care & thanks again.

Glad you have had a good day, but please make sure you get a good amount of sleep tonight otherwise by the end of the week you will be exhausted, especially if you are expecting it to be a busy one.
All good news as far as the debt repayments are concerned though :j
Take care, we admire you so much for doing as much as you do, but we also worry about you.....just a little bit xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Thanks Hypno...I'm trying to get my sleep pattern established again ..when it's right I usually go to bed about 10pm and get up at 6am...so am trying to do that but fell asleep earlier ..so as long as I get to bed by midnight I should be ok0
