Evening everyone..at last I got some sleep Last night(on the couch in the recline position)...not sneezed as much today so getting better I think..

I have something to ask you....
Are you self employed? I presume you are but contract out to the man who provides work.....? Do correct me if I am wrong.
The reason I ask is, my Step Father is self employed (courier) but he's getting a load of trouble with one of his shoulders.
If he can't work (he's on pain killers at the moment and waiting for hospital x-rays) can he claim any benefit?
I thought he might be able to claim Incapacity Benefit (not SSP as he is not employed by anyone) but I am not sure.
Is that what you claimed after your operation....?
Thanks in advance if you can advise anything - though I am off to watch Heroes shortly so will hopefully catch your reply tomorrow.
