If you just want a cheap runabout why spend £5,700, that's not cheap. £5,700 for a car without even electric windows? I've bought some sub-1k bangers in my time and they've all come with better options than this car has new... and when considering depreciation on the new car, they have all been much cheaper to run.
Unlike in some countries, we have very cheap second hand cars aplenty... take advantage of this!0 -
I bought a brand new 3dr 107 semi auto in 2006 for £7000. Got a little more than £5k for it when I traded it in for a 5dr 107 15 months later. It's got the cute front on it, not the huge chrome bit that's on now.
Both had electric windows, but I didn't opt for A/C. The only trouble I have had is that scare with the accelerator on my 5dr that was prompty fixed and my car is running fine.
It costs very little to run. Insurance is about £250 a year (I had a Smart car that cost £100 more a year for insurance, and got seriously burned financially because it was 2nd hand) Road Tax is £20, and a tank of petrol costs about £45 from dry and I can get 350 miles + to a tank.
Granted theres not much boot space, but I can easily get a full shop from Tesco in there (if I take the time to put it in properly). And I can get into the small parking spaces and weave in and out of traffic easy as.
It's a perfect 2nd car for us. It's ideal for city traffic, and can hold it's own on the motorway too.
If you don't want a tank of a car, and you just want a little runaround it's perfect. Sometimes Pug dealers have sales on where you can get a brand new 3dr Lite for £5995 - £6995 with 3 years warranty and they are usually willing to give a good discount. Absolute bargain for a great little car like that.BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.
comping = nowt more thrillin' than winnin':T :j0 -

Mine was from a top Peugeot dealer not too far north of London, can't really say more.
Why does it matter ?
They deliver it to your door for free anywhere in main UK regions0 -
I got fed up of trying to sort an electrical fault on my P reg Micra and went for this deal.
Collected car (in red!) last weekend from Randles of Stoke.
Incidentally they told me the deal was still on but the price had gone up a little so am surprised that some are now quoting a lower price.....0
