Quoted term is 3 years but you can change that to 2 years and it goes upto £82

    How long is the term?

My Picanto is 75pcm, 36 months with ~20% deposit though.

Seems that there are still people who ignore the surveys and still think that the "well known, established" (but also parochial and fault-prone) PSA are better than the world's fourth largest manufacturer.

That said, there's nothing inherently wrong with the 107 and at that price it's a bit of a bargain.

...What I was getting at was he basically said "Oh I wouldn't drive that, it's a cheap car without xyz"

    Not quite.

The price is the attraction but the lack of what is basic 21st century functionality in a car means that it lacks desirability, even given the low price.

Would it do the job ? of course it would, but so would a push bike or a horse and cart; neither of which I want either.

Perhaps you could petition the manufacturers to remove other useful items, such as a fuel gauge, wing mirror adjusters, heated rear screen (does it have one ?) and so forth, until you can buy the car along with the rest of your weekly shopping.

As for it winning any economic argument then I refute that possibility. A second hand car with moderate trim bought at the right price will cost less to run over a couple of years and longer and give you much more enjoyment. Form with function as well.

And when you are finished with your 107 watch out for the depreciation kicker as there won't be many buyers for such a piece of kit down the line.

I'd happily have the car I have now without some of the stuff it has (power steering, electrically assisted brakes, etc), tbh :D

Depreciation isn't particularly important if it's financed on PCP too.

As for enjoyment? It's a commuting car - ie an alternative to public transport.

Speaking of depreciation, you'll probably find that your oh so bargainous 1.8 auto Astra is worth nothing in a couple of years time - they can't shift them at 3 years old....

Add to that £20.00 tax, 60mpg and cheap insurance and its the main reason why my DD won't part with hers. I've noticed that they are now becoming very popular down here, just a shame Peugeot changed the front end from being a fun looking car to being just a car.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

If you look on the drive the deal website the107 comes out at about £75 a month, with a deposit of 10% on a personal contract plan, my local dealer wanted £124 a month for the same deal.
I am phoning them tomorrow to check the figures but if they are correct we will probably be ordering a red one as we do not like the yellow one.

Sorry to butt in on this thread, how did you go on when you spoke to drive the deal? Could you post details do you think or PM as I am really interested at this price, its ridiculously cheap.
    Up the Rams !!

While ever there are new drivers and first time car buyers there will be demand for cars like the 107.
