I orginally started out with the idea of putting my bridesmaids in green or blue, then H2B said he wanted to wear a burgundy rouche tie so I switched to burgundy dresses, then one of my bridesmaids asked for something to cover her arms so we got ivory lace shrugs for the older bridesmaids, and ivory dresses with burgundy sashes for the little ones because I couldn't find the right shade of burgundy dresses for them. The ribbon sash might be slightly out on shade but it's not too far out and I doubt anyone will be looking too closely.
We'll all be carrying bouquets with dark red and white roses - the same shades for me and the bridesmaids but my flowers are bigger because I'm more important :rotfl::rotfl:
I'm not overly concerned with shade matching overall. I don't care if the shade we've used for the favour bags doesn't match the bridesmaids dresses or the flowers. Life is too short and I doubt anyone will notice or care, and if they do, well, screw them. It's my wedding.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Ours is purple (my favourite colour) turquoise (H2B's suggestion) and a little tangerine orange maybe. Sounds a little odd but they go really well together, as long as one colour is dominant.
If you're looking for colours where getting the exact shade isn't as important, blues and greens look amazing as different shades put together. Avoid red if you don't want to spend ages finding just the right shade, as different reds can clash badly!

I didn't want a theme or colour scheme at our wedding, I was the "anything goes" bride too but after we bought the BM's dresses, it ended up being duck egg blue and fuscia-ish!..here's a pics:

because it was a hot day, the BM's didn't wear their pasminas for long, and although you can't see them, their shoes are the same pink too!!0 -
Magicboo - that is a lovely photo. All the colours work well together.
Can I be nosey and ask where the bridesmaid dresses were from?0 -
Ours is pink and ivory. I was going for fushia but was struggling to find bridesmaid dresses so its now a dark pink. I love pink so it wasnt a difficult decision!!0

someone on here a little while ago had the bridesmaids in really bright dresses, each in a different colour, it looked really effective and unusual. Hot pink, lime green etc.0
