I was going to try to post a poll but there are FAR to many options!!
:rotfl:
So, simple enough, what was or is your wedding colour scheme / theme??
I haven't been to many weddings to be interested in seeing popular ideas, unusual themes, etc, and reasons why people did and didnt have specific colours!
Thanks

Mine was always going to be purple just cos I love it! It's now moved to purple and silver as I'm wearing a silver/platinum dress...hopefully now with purple shoes, and with amethyst in my jewellery, and hints of purple into my flowers. Bridesmaid is in a short purple dress with pale silver bolero and shoes0

Ours was a butterfly theme and the colours were Gold & Ivory. I named my tables after butterfly species and did a fact sheet for each table name explaining where that butterfly came from, its wingspan etc I wanted an elegant feel to my wedding so the colours were a perfect choice and i love butterflies which made my colour theme look more special. In my flowers i had ivory roses with gold and green greenary with lily of the valley and my bridesmaids had the same but without lily of the valley. x

H2B chose our colour theme, bright red because of Liverpool FC. I then added sparkles to the theme after buying swarovski table crystals & falling in love with them! Have bought diamantes to put into each rose head of the bouquets & centrepieces. Also incorporated flat back swarovski's into stationary. So sparkly & red is our theme. Tables are named after his Liverpool legends. Other little subtle football things to tie in his theme too! x:heartpuls dawnebabe :heartpuls0

My colour scheme is anything goes.
I couldn't buy the BMs dresses till this week, so I could be bothered with having to painstakingly try to match the colour of the flowers, shoes, invites, ties etc.
Any I'm glad I did it that way, as I've been able to pick lovely summery floral BM dresses without being restriced by a rigid colour scheme.
And I still get to have my multicoloured bouquet. :j
If I had to be pinned down on "theme" it woud be relaxed country wedding, so having a strict colour scheme would be too formal for me.
It does work though when people do their colour scheme carefully - I'm just a bit lazy! :rotfl:0 -
Wow some great themes - even 'no colour scheme' seems to work as a theme!!
I am toying with lots of different ideas - I quite like the idea of bmaids in black but with diff coloured flowers and matcing buttonholes for each groomsman. Can't decide on just one colour cos I like them all! A multicoloured bouquet would be fab!!
But then the control freak in me really likes the idea of coordinating everything with 1 main colour! Like red flowers, red shoes, red candles, red bmaid dresses. But then it's hard work to find the same shade for everything!!
Lovely to hear about other people's themes etc, really getting my imagination going! So keep em coming please!!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Teal, ivory and gold, but teal can mean so many different things. It means having to get colour swatches of everything to make sure we get the right teal! Still, it will look lovely on the day!0
