Bed wetting.

This is so embarrassing for me but I can't tell anyone else.

My husband (who is 41) likes a drink EVERY NIGHT even if he just has 3 maybe 4 cans, It really gets me down, but worse he wets the bloody bed and will still carry on doing what he is doing. It's not every night, perhaps once a month. He just come back from the off license with 8 cans. I told him If he wets bed again tonight, he can sleep on sofa from now on. He laughed.

His eyes are pretty yellow, he is very fit, and I made him go doctors cus of his eyes, the doctor said he was fine. (no tests done). His mother doesn't think he has a problem (but she don't know about the bed wetting).

I think he replies on it to help him sleep, as he is up every morning 3.30am for work. and I just know he would not take any sleeping tablets.

Tried talking, he laughs it off, says he does not have a problem. It's so not fair on me. :o

What shall I do? Apart from perhaps move out, cus he won't selfish git! :o

I can't offer advice but the drinking to help him sleep...

what worries me is what time does he sleep/pass out, and is he safe to drive or be working in the morning?

I would be sleeping in the spare room or on a sofa bed and not allowing him in with me. I cannot believe his is laughing off wetting the bed, that is disgusting.

Surely if his eyes are yellow then thats a sign of too much alcohol? Perhaps he lied to the doc about his consumption?

Personally-I don't find 3-4 cans a night excessive but thats just me. Obviously its causing problems for your relationship so the drinking is a problem. A couple of issues come to mind. Is your husband driving to work at 3-30am. If so Could he be over the limit! Also is his bladder working properly? Only urological tests can tell. Has he any history of bladder infections?

As to the yellowness in the eyes clearly the GP did not suggest liver function tests so presumably everything is fine in that regard!

Sadly we do not have a spare room. Kids taken them up.

He doesn't laugh the actual bed wetting off, if anything he is in a right mood, and very sorry, sometimes he even cries. It's getting beyond now, I do not want to be showering at 1am. urgh.

I went in to the doctor with him, If anything she offered relate :o

Have you considered an incontinence sheet OP? That way when he has a little accident , the pee will just run off the side, rather than seeping into your matress.

We have a matteress cover, Thankfully our matteress is immaculate because of this. But I have to wash and dry same day to go back on.

Wish they did something where his pee would stay on his side. God this is frustrating, love him to bits I do. What gets me is he is not even drunk. And I make him pee before bed. Then few hours later arghhhhhh

My god, he should be wearing plastic pants.

If I ever drank and wet the bed I'd never touch alcohol again, and I'd probably emigrate because I'd too embarrassed to look my partner in the eye again.

Here you go - get him some - http://www.incontinencechoice.co.uk/ranges/washable-incontinence-pants-233/?gclid=CNSK58ip1qgCFUdP4QodzhnoAA

Then get him to stop drinking out of respect for you.

Found the thread I was thinking of but I remembered it wrong. OP says her husband drinks excessively but there is no mention of bedwetting. Sorry, not much help after all I guess, unless there's any useful comments regarding trying to get your husband to appreciate he has a problem and needs to address it...
