Even ignoring the alcohol, the other symptoms (incontinence, yellowed eyes) need checking out.
If I had yellowed whites of eyes and nocturia I wouldn't leave the GPs surgery without a referral for liver and kidney function tests tbh.
I know, it's scary. He just one of them men that don't want to face up to any problems to do with health.
I think what I will do is, Order them nappies, keep them in the cupboard not tell him, And If this happens again then I will show how angry I am, and give him ultimatum, wear these, and I will be making you a doctor appointment. I have also noticed his right hand from his knuckles to tips of his fingers goes white very easily and takes a while to go pink again?
He drink on average 28x500mil cans a week. Sometimes more
Sorry I do not know how many units that would be? 0 -
Obviously you would want to look at the cause and working to stop the wetting but in the meantime, we find this helpful with our 3 year old...
Pampers bed mat (about 3ft x 3ft) or can use maternity sheets or puppy sheets whichever is cheapest.
Sheet on top
Another pampers sheet
Another sheet.
Then if there is an accident in the night you can just whip off the wet sheet and the pampers mat and you are ready to go without having to change sheets.0 -
My hubby used to work away a lot and cos he stayed in hotels 4 or 5 nights a week would prop up the bar - so like your hubby was sinking 4 or 5 drinks. Although he didnt have the unfortunate side affects I did feel he drank too much for his health and for the fact he was driving at 8am ish every morning and it cost a fortune. It did take a while but he did finally come round to my way of thinking and drinks less now and not every night. For me its the not taking on board what you are saying thats the deal breaker.....Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0

That is a great idea, But I don't think it would stop us having to change all the sheets, It's like a bath has been emptied on the bed
. The amount of quilts/pillows we have gone through is just ridiculous. 0 -

I know, and I don't understand because I make sure he has a pee before bed, then he will have some munchies as he calls it and falls asleep sitting up, I make sure He goes for another pee against his will. lol.. And he pees for England then. Then few hours later this happens. Maybe only once maybe even twice a month but still. God It's horrible. My kids have never once wet the bed, not even during potty training.
. Feels like I have 4 kids and not 3! urghh 0 -
Im inclined to agree that in terms of "volume" is it not enough that one wets the bed. I regularly drink that much fluid ( water, tea, diet coke) Easily sink 4 or 5 pints of fluid after 6pm. Might still go loo before bedtime.
However, my body tells me I need to go loo whilst Im asleep and the feeling wakes me up and i dash to the lav and all is well.
What is missing here is that he is not waking up to go loo- is it because he is out for the count? I have had an experience with someone who drank a lot and regularly went for a pee in the wardrobe. I have heard of other alcohol dependent man who also wet the bed with his wife in it in my freindship group.
Can he sleep right through, having wet the bed, or does he wake up when hes doing it. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Camp bed at the bottom of your bed used - by him - when he has had a drink....
I honestly think this situation would chip away at my respect for my hubby. I hope you can resolve.Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0 -

Either he wakes up after he has done it OR I wake up, and I am not kidding it's so much, We have a king sized bed, It reaches our pillows and near to the end of my side of the bed.
.
I always wake up when I need to go to the toilet, I drink 3-4 litres of water daily And I never have wet the bed. Perhaps something is going on? Or could he be dreaming he has been to the toilet but really did it in the toilet?
My Dad used to come into my bedroom to pee in my wardrobe atleast twice a year when he went out for his bday and works doo, Because my bedroom at the time used to be the bathroom. lol0 -

He doesn't think he is doing anything wrong, cus he is not drunk (so he says) He is defo in denial. Wish he would sleep on sofa, or camp bed I really do, But he won't.
And his breath, It' like sleeping next to 100 drunk camels..0
