Ahem, sorry..I remember-baby talk!!0 -
hubby proposed inside Angkor Wat in Cambodia as the sun was setting..
then we spent the evening in a fab bar eating chicken wings and drinking the fab local beer
V jealous of you having seen the barrier reef - we haven't. Hubby isn't a great fan of water!"No society can surely be flourishing and happy of which by far the greater part of the numbers are poor and miserable"Adam Smith6/300 -

Great Barrier Island is an Island off the North Island in New Zeland-and it was in a natural hot pool, and hour 1/2's treck into the New Zealand bush. See-my DH found a beautiful location too!!! :rotfl:
BUT I have been to the Great Barrier Reef-so double neh!!:rotfl:
Back to the TTC stuff..I've been trying to find out my companies maternity policy (very surreptitiously!) and have discovered...we don't have one . I wonder what my boss will do..?!
PS-I do hope you've read this in the joking manner is is meant!! x0 -
hee hee :rotfl:! when we told our friends all of the blokes who hadn't proposed yet were not pleased with my OH! If it makes you feel any better the reason we went there was we were living in Pakistan at the time with lots of bombs and things so the holidays were needed to keep us sane (and so we could drink beer and eat pork)!
d'oh - that will teach me not to speed read. I've not been to great barrier island either but know of it - still super super jealous!
not great about your company's lack of maternity policy - is there anyone very very discreet either in HR or who has recently had maternity leave who you trust to speak to so you can suss things out? They may be able to let you know if your company do contractual maternity leave/pay as well as ordinary maternity leave and SMP."No society can surely be flourishing and happy of which by far the greater part of the numbers are poor and miserable"Adam Smith6/300 -
Magic info about Statutory Maternity Leave aka SML

Afternoon ladies :hello:
Loving birth stories and proposal stories :T
Regarding weight loss - happy for it to be an indivdual thing rather than on first page, whatever people prefer. I lost 1lb this week, not bad considering my naughtyness!
Super duper tired here - did a 12 hour night shift last night and another tonight. Back to main 'job' tomorrow afternoon - i.e. tackling my big bad final uni assignment...the end is in sight, the end is in sight!
Take care all
