    I've known people on far less than that and had an account open.

    Wonder if this applies to having a over draft, e.g?

    It must def be new as that was never the case when alot of MSE members open there account way back!

    True but remember Citi do operate a 'free for all' policy so when figures drop below a certain level, they used to flood the market with offers and take almost anyone! Then when figures go up, they go back to normal lending criteria.

    It's all so hit-and-miss with them.

    As I said, they declined me for the bank account (I applied for bank and CC act at same time) and I assumed that was that. About 2wks later I got a PIN for my new Citi AAdvantage Gold card :confused:

    Anyway that was weird cos I thought a CC was higher scored than a bank account? LOL, doesn't add up does it mate?

    I got a confirmation letter today saying they have started to process my application and will contact me shortly if they need any further documentation. If not, they will open my account as quickly as possible.

    Fingers crossed.
