We've still not heard anything, we sent things around the 10th Dec, but allowing for seasonal post, I doubt whether we'll hear before new year!£2 Coin Savers Club (Christmas)- £86£1 Jar (Christmas)- £29Christmas Vouchers Saved: £1450

When you apply does it ask for your salary/income, or how much you can credit to the account each month? Can you also apply over the phone?
I'm a student, and can transfer my overdraft in and out of the account a couple of times a month to placate them in terms of minimum credits... am spending next summer in the USA working, so I need their sterling current account to open a dollar current account with them!!0 -

Don't know, they (Citibank) say if you don't put your salary in you need to make regular deposits. But then again, people on here, have said that they (the people) have been accepted and not even going to deposit regularly but want the account just for the VISA debit card.techno_geek wrote:Can you also apply over the phone?
Yes the number is 0800 00 88 00 - open 8 - 8, Mon-Fri0 -
Is citibank debit card a cheque garantee card?0
-
They do offer a cheque guarantee card, but I don't know what the criteria is for receiving one. Maybe someone on here who has one can tell us0

CitiBank provide both 2in1 and 3in1 Visa Debit Cards with their Sterling Silver Current Account.
3in1 = Visa Debit Card with Cheque Guarantee
2in1 = Visa Debit card without Cheque Guarantee
Whether you receive the 2in1 or 3in1 will be based on personal financial circumstances.0 -
I received the 3 in 1 card however I will be paying my salary into the account.0

Thanks for that.
I too will be paying my salary into the account, and I also applied for their savings account at the same time. Will be interesting to see what card I receive (if they open an account for me that is!).
I will keep you all posted as soon as I know. I'm tempted to call them up, but I shall resist the temptation.
How long on average are you guys waiting for news once you have returned your forms/ID?
I returned mine on the 14th December, and I received a letter dated 20th December returning my documents to me. I'm on tender hooks here :rotfl:0 -
I am also wondering too, got a letter dated 14th Dec but not received until 27th Dec returning my docs!£2 Coin Savers Club (Christmas)- £86£1 Jar (Christmas)- £29Christmas Vouchers Saved: £1450
