Dear Sir/ Madam,
I have requested Nationwide to cancel the transfer of my current account from them to you.
I am having to revert to postal letters as your telephone numbers are constantly busy and I have waited approximately 3 hours over the past few weeks trying to get in touch with someone at your office.
In the current financial crisis I expect the level of customer service to be much higher as the past six months have made banking an extremely difficult industry to be in.
I have been with Nationwide for the past ten years or so and will continue to support them even if it costs me to withdraw currency abroad – the main fundamental reason I wanted to transfer to Citibank.
In the meantime I also wish to cancel my savings account with you number: ************
Yours Sincerely,
Jinkster0 -
Had enough of those numptys - I'm sticking with Nationwide!0

Like you Jinkster, ive been totally and utterley mucked about by Citi Bank, they got my docs on 30th September took a month to send them back to me and ive heard absoloutley nothing, they could at least have the decency to write and tell me if my account application has been unsuccessful. As for their customer care when you eventually get through to someone on the phone its horrendous...foreign call centre or foreign staffed customer services...Ive given up on them !!!!0

It is a pity because I was considering applying for an euro account with them, but after my experience earlier this year where I send documents and so on, they returned them and never ever again heard from them, and now reading yours, which is quite similar, I believe I'll look somewhere else for the euro account.
Citibank seems to be a waste of a credit search.0
