Mate Citi are no longer 'easy' to get accepted with. This was the case a year or so ago, but not now. The salary may state £20k but go ahead and apply, others have been successful - even those on benefits but like I say, this was then - not so much now

Could not agree with you more on this one :)

  • I too have just sent my docs into Citi Bank after applying for their Access Current account, but after reading some of the recent comments on here (and especially after reading about Ross's application) i dont hold out any great hope, especially since i applied for the £500 overdraft too.I am a police officer on just short of £40,000 a year but have 2 x settled defaults so i reckon ive got no chance now.Anyway heres hoping.

Hi all, Just applied for their current access account and transferring everything including the work salary and direct debits across to them from Nationwide.

Reason: I am an airline pilot and they have free currency withdrawals worldwide using the Visa Debit card. Nationwide did, but have changed their T+Cs hence the change!

I'll keep you all posted how it goes. I'm on 41k/year so fingers crossed!

I am wanting to apply for the Citibank credit card but their does not seem to be any at the moment which is rather strange!!

Not really. I applied for one back in January, they returned my documents by February and never heard back from them again.

    Nice people.
