You do. Originally he was trying to work out if your problem stemmed from running a 64bit program on a 32bit OS, and you replied erroneously & back-to-front that "32bit software can't run on a 64bit OS". Birkee then corrected you given that it can (most software running on a 64bit OS still tends to be 32bit).
By this point it became clear that you wouldn't have been running the 64bit version, but Birkee was still trying to explain why your reasoning for it didn't make sense - probably annoyed by your superior tone while talking about things you don't understand.

Get a life.
Relax - no need to be so defensive, which is probably what got Birkee's back up in the first place when he posted with the intent to help you and you were unnecessarily rude to him.
If you say things that aren't actually true, people will correct you on it as there are other people reading and getting informed (or misinformed) by what is written in threads here.0 -
Relax .
I am cool thx
If I wanted to be rude I would have pointed out that this is farcical. A 64bit program would not run (even slowly) on a 32bit machine.Originally he was trying to work out if your problem stemmed from running a 64bit program on a 32bit OS
But thank you both very much for sharing your thoughts on the subject

Just to clarify.... you are already connected to the web, but it is ie9 that is slow to load a page? can i ask you this - does this only happen for the initial first page load up or is it this slow on all pages? I dont know if IE are following in the same direction as FF and Opera as im a Linux user, but there is a chance that IE is trying to use IPV6 over 4 and thus your page loading is seriously impinged.I'm not normally a religious man, but... if you're up there, save me, Superman!0

The OP can refer to the 'original poster' or the 'original post'.
And I think you still don't understand that 32 bit systems will run on a 64 bit machine.
Your statement was wrong, and will confuse other people who don't know.
I have tried to be nice to you but you really are trying my patience.:A
Please don't speak down to me. I do understand the difference between 32bit and 64bit.
My statement is correct. It is you who posted incorrect and irelevant information.
If one tried to install 32 bit internet explorer 9 on a 64 bit machine you would see the following error messageWrong version of Internet Explorer Installer. This version of setup doesn't support your Windows system
If one tried to install 64 bit internet explorer 9 on a 32 Bit machine you would see the following error message>The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running ..."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Actually when you install the 64bit version get BOTH the 64bit and 32bit versions installed. You can run one or the other

Please be advised I was connected to the web using IE8, I updated to IE9 and thereafter first and subsequent page loads took 1 minute. I have restored to previous settings and system is now stable and page load is fast.
