So I am usually the one at the checkout with 10 cases of lager and 1 pack of toilet roll:rotfl: (please dont judge me:o)

I do that too, I normally shop at Morrisons, because it's only a minutes walk from my house. But I buy my beer in Tesco as it's cheaper, but a 15 minute walk, and I normally pick up one or two other things that are on offer.

Like today, I went to the checkout with a basket full of beer and two tubes of toothpaste (it was BOGOF).

The womans face on the checkout only said one thing "If you drink that lot, two tubes of toothpaste won't be enough to hide the smell on your breath".

I once met a work colleague when I had a basket full of lager and 4 bars of chocolate (BOGOF). She looked at my basket and I said "It's the latest diet from America, you can eat and drink as much as you like as long as you only eat chocolate and drink lager".

She thought I was being serious and said "Oh, does it work?"

So I said "Not really, but it's dead easy to stick to".

You would have been fascinated by my last shop then -
4 large bottles of Smirnoff Ice
    3 bottles of wine
    and
    a bag of onions !
The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.

lso saw this couple in their thirties last week buying tiny tins of beans...suits them but to me a waste of money:D

Sounds like us, I can only eat Heinz 'on their own' on toast and so on, so buy the tiny tins :) Buy smart price to 'cook with' in meals such as chilli etc.

I often have odd baskets, such as one week, bonio's, bin bags, screen wash and a bottle of cider. Check out lady warned me about getting the last two mixed up, after IDing me

Another one was fire lighters, lurpak, rice & crumpets :rotfl:

I'm not ashamed of anything in my trolly, and a good proportion of it is smart price! Usually because I've tried it and I like it better than anything else, I can't stand 'luxury creamy coleslaw' I MUCH prefer the SP which has a more vinigarette type dressing, SP garlic baguette? not as much garlic butter as the regular one, and the list goes on :)

Hand on heart though, I do love this game, OH calls us the boring healthy couple, so we sling in a few cream cakes now and then just to keep the trolly watchers on their toes!

I was once behind a man in the queue who bought nothing but seven or eight bottles of Cointreau and about six bottles of toilet cleaner. Neither items appeared to be on offer so the quantity was interesting. Hopefully there was no connection between the two.

When I last converted the Tesco Double-Up tokens on Health & Beauty I decided to stock up on shower gels and soap, because we're a family of 7 and toiletries get really expensive! So I had £40 worth of tokens and a trolley full of the special offer Dove/Imperial Leather/Radox shower gels, as well as lots of the Value + Own Brand cheap gels. I ended up with something like 60 bottles of shower gel in one transaction and boy, did I get funny looks...:rotfl:

I often end up making a judgement about that person's social class. (I am always right about the social class and general level of intelligence though).

How do you know you are always right?

The old boy I care for sent me round the shop to buy 6 bottles of toilet cleaner (to stock up, cos he is housebound) when they were on offer, I could see a man behind me looking puzzled and probally thought I have very dirty toilet problems or ocd.

Another time a lady had a packet of toilet rolls in her basket and the check out girl told her it was BOGOF , the lady said I dont want it and paid and left. Then the girl said I could grab them - so I got a freebie :D.
    Kindness costs nothing :)

Many years of both clinical practice working with patients, and across populations in public health strategy. People behave in more predictable ways than the lay person might think :rotfl:!

Funniest one I ever saw was in Asda once - it was about 5.30am and the couple in front of me were buying a tow rope and a pregnancy test.
