Once I was buying a pregnancy test and the cashier actually asked me 'Do you want it to be positive or negative?' Luckily I already knew I was pregnant and was over the moon about it (was doing an obsessional 'just checking' test) but imagine if I wasn't!
    '

 What a thing to ask a total stranger at work! When I worked in a supermarket I'd occasionally have people bringing pregnancy tests through that looked like they'd like nothing else than for the ground to swallow them up. The last thing you'd do was ask all sorts of personal questions!

It was quite amusing though when people would buy a couple of random items but they didn't really want them, they were just there to take the focus away from other embarassing things like condoms or lube :rotfl: One apple....box of fish fingers....condoms.. . packet of chewing gum :rotfl:

Gosh I always trolly watch. Especially when im at the checkout - watching what other people are loading on to the conveyor belt.

It makes me wonder when i see people buying exotic stuff that i wouldnt buy, or tescos finest this and that.

If i see someone with more than two of something that I use in their shop - I ask them if I have missed a bargain. :)
The opposite of what you know...is also true

A friend of mine was recently stopped in the supermarket by an old lady who 'told her off' for not having fruit or veg or fresh meat in the trolley. My friend politely explained that she supports local traders (butchers etc) and actually grows most of her veg in her own allotment.

It works both ways re portly people. A rather large lady in front of me looked at my basket then (whilst looking right at me!) said to her husband/boyfriend 'her's is full of rabbit food'

She obviously didn't notice under the fruit & veg I had two packs of chocolate digestives :rotfl::A

I always feel a bit sad to see someone with fairly decent pet food and a cheapy human food because it reminds me of someone who would do the same.

Oh, I do that. Trolley full of whoopsies and special offers for us humans and two packs of Whiskas Simply Steamed and a sack full of that posh One cat food for the cat members of the family. £23 for the cats' food and £10 for ours...

I make the little gits use Value Cat Litter though. :rotfl:

I love to nosey at what others have. Sometimes it gives me meal ideas too :) I normally have whoospie meat and bread to put in the freezer to save me some money.

My OH is normally the king of mismatched shopping. He once had malibu, orange juice, contreau and redex :rotfl:

Funniest one I have saw so far was 2 policemen from our local station with 4 bags of whoopsie jam doughnuts:rotfl: who says stereotypes are dead.
