she had her husband and 2 kids with her , so didnt look like she was rushing from a hospital to me, her kids had bucket and spades in their hands.
Just so you know this post isnt to mock people, its just about how we observe any ways people can save money!
I also buy some biccies (value ones) and crisps that are on offer .
They might be minted then and not have to watch the pennies.
My Mum and stepdad used to spend about £100 a week on shopping for the 2 of them. I spend less than that a week for 5 of us.
They could afford it though, so I didn't think anything of it.
P.S. I'm not a moaning minnie

i once saw a (pretty) famous footballer, in safeway, with a trolly, with a dozens & dozens of packets of vanilla angel delight!
maybe he was having a party:o0 -
lol , I love angel delight but have no idea how to make that
.
Shellsuit , my mother in law spends £220 a week for 2 adults and 3 small foster children. And she always says they have nothing in ?
years ago I used to shop the expensive way, I would chuck anything in my trolly without a thought.Kindness costs nothing

I do this all the time while standing in the checkout queue - there's nothing else to do while Mr T's staff have a natter between themselves and my freezer stuff starts defrosting. I think you can learn a lot (or make assumptions morelike) on the contents of a person's trolley. And I've seen stuff in someone's shopping that I hadn't noticed myself in store and then gone and looked for, so its "free advertising" for the supermarket!!!0

We often see a rather "large" family in our local Asda, their trolly is stacked high with things like pies, crisps, doughnuts and all sorts, no fruit (that we can see) bags of frozen chips. We normally see them in the cafe having their pie and chips too! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I do it all the time...I sometimes look longingly and other times judge when I see parents with overweight kids with a trolley full of pure and utter rubbish.
I was in a Mr T's saw this very pretty lady so very well dressed as was her little girl, designer clothing ..top of range mobile, trolley full of beautiful food, flowers etc and when she got to the counter she handed over milk tokens...I nearly choked with shock. She paid remainder out of a an expensive purse of cash.
Also saw this couple in their thirties last week buying tiny tins of beans...suits them but to me a waste of money:D
I find it refreshing to look and think to myself, it takes all kinds to make a world. Everyone has their own priorities when it comes to spending money. Though sometimes
I would love to say...do you know if you went down a brand you would save so much...only joking:rotfl:
So call me what you like but at least I am being honest when I say that I do."You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream"

people worrying too much about what others have or do;)
I'm not worried about what other people buy, just amused. I like wondering why someone would buy a twin pack (2 x 500g) of Jus-Rol pastry for £2.50, when the single ones (1 x 500g) next to them are only 89p each.
This example was at the beginning of the year/end of last year, the single packs are over £1 now.0 -
i like to look in other peoples basket or trolley...some make me wonder but in fairness i dont know what the are buying for or for whom if that makes senseonwards and upwards0

I used to work on a checkout and it used to fascinate me seeing what people would buy!
The ones that used to stick in my mind were families who used to buy a Bird's Eye frozen roast dinner per person, rather than buying some meat and veg. I used to find that hard to believe. There is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro.....0
