  • So what is happening with all the claims you were processing with for Consortium and possibly Lifestyle Claims? is there any chance that some claims might come to fruition and what will happen to any monies received on behalf of clients for any of the companies which have now gone into administration?

Milly88 - I am happy to clarify your query.

I am posting on here because I am sole Director of Credit Clear Services Ltd. - We are based in Poole, Dorset.

Not to be confused with a company set up this year called : Claim Credit Services Ltd, who are a new Claims Company offering financial review to consumers, but I understand this company is based in Wales.

We are not connected : with either Consortium or Claim Credit Services. The Companies have not shared Directors or addressesat any time.

If you go on Companies house website and do a webcheck on the company name it will confirm who is who.

As previously said "Credit Clear Services" are not customer facing, so we dont cold call, we dont even have clients, we simply process claims cases to settlement for other Claims Companies.

We have not recevied any formal notice, but as far as we know Consortium have stopped trading.

    hello

I've just taken a call from Consortium reclaim claiming that my credit card debt can be written off for 3 of my pre-2007 credit cards if the credit agreement cannot be produced and/or intrest rates have been increased. I don't intend delaing with this company or anything daft like that (:money:£500 fee) but is there any truth in what they say?

Well, wonder of wonders, I got home from work last night to find a recorded letter (signed for by my postie!!!!) with a cheque for the whole amount of refund from CR, along with a letter apologising for the delay. So for the cost of some interest on the card from which the payment was taken, it's a lesson well learnt. Never again.

How long does it take for a claim to be investigated? they've had mine nearly a year, meanwhile, I'M paying interest on their fees! Now a phone call just directs me to a (seemingly) non-existent website , what's my next move? Any suggestions, in layman's terms please, l'm a silver-surfer
  • I too am someone who totally fell for this. Is there anything that can now be done to get this money back? Like a total idiot I paid the fee on the card that the claim is against. Can I still approach them and say the service was not given? I had managed to contact Consortium a while ago and was told that my claim was more complicated as I had held the credit card for such a long time (over 20 years). Total fool to have fell for the hard sell (which I rejected once and fell for on the second wave of phone calls). Can anyone advise if there is anything I can do?
  • Please, please be careful people. A former incarnation of this company, Consortium Reclaim, took 2000 off me last year then disappeared. Just had a cold call from Claim Credit Service. The spiel is the same, the address is the same, even the "senior advisor" I spoke to on the phone is the same. Am reporting them to the MOJ now.

Consortium is now in administration and happened November 2012 and they have also had their authorisation cancelled by the MOJ.

You say a call from Claim Credit Services but could it have been from Credit Claim Services.

They may crop up again with a new name so beware....and this could be them so a good idea to notify both TS at burton on Trent and MOJ as soon as possible. I have a meeting with the TS in Burton on Trent in a few weeks time so any information would be very helpful indeed. You can PM me as we have other cases to take with us.

Now under s75 of the consumer credit act you should be able to claim your deposit back paid to Consorium on the understanding that a) they have NOT provided you with a service and b) they are now in administration and you were only made aware of this fact to day.

    The ADMINISTRATORS are called Sharma's.
