Hi, got the motorola pebble tonight and the £20 discount didnt come off,the manager refused to let me keep the phone but said he would be happy to refund the £20, said i wasnt happy with that and i would take the phone home and ring customer service, any advice before i ring would be greatly apreciated.

Make sure you know your facts. Make sure you know exactly what the offer said - I looked at this in a store 45 minutes ago and it said £20 if you buy airtime, not £20 off a minimum spend. If you're right, they will pay out. It won't be as bad as you think.

If you get no joy tonight, try again tomorrow morning - what have you got to lose??

    HI,

Great to see all the competition here, we work very hard to ensure our store is legal every day, so thanks for the heads up I got our signs removed this evening after checking the postings.

As someone who does this a lot, I can confirm that 00.9% of stores have the correct price up for this phone. you were lucky

should that read 99.9% of stores as if the majority are wrong it should be easy to get a free phone

I wish I could have shoved a copy of Whirlys post under the nose of the manager who dealt with my Stella misprice today. He treated the whole episode with very bad grace - shame on him, as a representative for his company who SHOULD know better. But if the CS are seeing that sort of attitude in their boss, who can then blame them for acting in a like wise manner!

Won't help you, but my stella/1664 went smoothly, and became my first Golden.

A tip mentioned earlier (apologies to OP) but check the signs around the smirnoff alcopops as there is usually a small A5 landscape sign that includes the Stella.

well you were even more lucky to get the r&r because you need to spend £40 and not £25 !!! count your blessings.

    postie you have a pm

only a £20 spend was needed on the pebl I think the glitch was the sel should have said £20 air time purchased to get the discount ,instead of spend £20 in store

I went in another store where the sel did mention buy £20 air time to get £20 off so I walked away from that one

but by talking in this manner you are obviously trying to get peoples backs up.

Im only returning the compliment - In the last few days iv been called various names by posters on here also somebody posted about an r+r with the sole intention of winding me up (They said so in a later post) - When i start to get a bit !!!!!! back nobody likes it:rolleyes: ...Im glad in a way though that some of you have reacted to me in this way im even more determined now;)

BTW, something I noticed in two stores out of three today, was that Gears of War has got back the usual White SELs rather than the yellow ones that appeared about three weeks ago. It does still scan at £37.xx (as does that Pinto whatever game) but maybe worth watching over the next few days.

Yeah, despite his snotty attitude towards me, he still didn't do his job quite as well as he could of, as he let me walk out with a 'Golden Ticket' - but the Stella will come in useful in the next couple of weeks!
DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!
