TescoEmployee wrote:Thanks for the above - Im well aware of the root cause of the problem but until it changes i'll continue doing my bit - At the end of the day this site helps the store im in stay legal. You all complain about the fact that Tesco rip off customers so you should be happy that there are stores out there trying to resolve the problem - Of course we will never be able to eradicate it completely but i can say this site has stopped many r+r's occuring in my paticular store.
That's where you and I differ in opinions. I don't think you are doing your bit. To do your bit would mean to put pressure on the powers that be up top. The only way you're going to do that is if you actually don't fight the R&Rers. As stated before, if all stores let people get the refunds they are entitled to, with no argument, regardless of whether they are R&Rers or customers who really were mistakenly overcharged, HO would have to do something about the problem. Tesco is dealing with the issue in entirely the wrong way by focusing on those customers who take advantage of the policy. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

I have only had one R&R and have probably been overcharged, on loads of occasions in tesco and other stores..... yet this thread has made me reciept aware so thats good in my book.... however with your remarks you have helped to turn this thread into something that looks dodgy with folk not being as open as they were... yet you try and turn it around as if you are doing the regulars a favour... shame on you.
Are you upset that the information is not as readily available as before - Continue to check your reciept and if you get o/c go and claim your r+r. Whilst i don't agree that Tesco should EVER o/c customers i also don't agree that they should be publicly posted on here with the sole intention of people just on the lookout for a freebieStand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -
TescoEmployee wrote:No but the store i work at r+r's over £5 have to be authorised so as i stated previously you can imagine the amount of time saved now people are willing to post price errors on a national well known forum
I find this a bit strange, or that your store must have loads of misprices.
Not once have I (Except when I went straight to a manager bypassing CS) had to wait for an overcharged item to be authorised by a manager. 90% of these were done directly by the CSA at the CS desk and without prompting for a full refund and the CSA's were great.
Oh and BTW, this has been in 3 UK countries this week alone.0 -
Hi everyone,
This is actually my first post and is a bit unsure about the whole thing. I have been browsing through the website for a couple of weeks now and just decided to join. I was just wondering if anyone know any of these misprices in London, more specifically in the SE as we always go to Tesco to shop. My bf and I are planning to move together soon and any help would be welcome. I just graduated from uni and am still trying to find a job so money is VERY tight right now0 -

I DON'T fight r+r'ers and if a customer has been o/c then i happily follow the policy but you can't blame me for trying to prevent an r+r - Should i just turn a blind eye to the fact a CD is priced incorrectly??Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -
