xxdeebeexx wrote:Hi I was in a rather large Tescos this morning lurking about the DVD section when an employee came alongside me and started to rummage through the shelves. In her hand was a list of Mis priced items 'copied and pasted ' from MSE mis price thread
It was word for word as posted on the message board !
Imade a mental note of getting to Tescos earlier next time
Obviously someone in that paticular store has taken it upon themselves to C+P price errors from this site and get them checked as that is not what is being sent out by H/O - Well done to that store though for being so proactive in putting customers first by not wanting them to get overchargedStand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -

Guys/Gals
I have had so many PM's tonight asking to join the circle of trust, it is going to take some while to sift through them, so please be patient !
I already have a group of people within the circle and I am pleased to add other on the basis that information is shared privately without Mr Tesco Employee running back and telling Sir what has been posted on here.
Posters need to have a proven and trusted track record, i.e and either have or are willing to share info.
cheers
Hope that saves Tesco Employee from wwasting his time looking for prices on here !0 -

JS, ASDA, Tesco, Morrisson's - 1 years service needed before discount card is given, Tesco did trial awarding the discount after 3 months service a few years ago.Stand Up For What You Believe In, Even If It Means Standing Alone0 -
I have yet to pluck up the courage to do an r&r yet but Can someone tell me that if an item is priced, lets say, £2.00 on the shelf but there is a sticker on the item of £2.01 and I am charged £2.01, am i entitled to an R&R even though it is clearly displayed on the item.
sorry if this has been posted before.

Good for you mate, frankly I like you ! and I would never be abusive towards you.
You do what you feel is right, I am also a massive fan of Tesco, both as a shopper and as an organisation.
Just one thing though, Tesco ripped me off for a Nintendo DS game !!!, I bought a game and they never put the disc in (honestly) can either you or Cblizard arrange a refund or exchange please?0 -
TescoEmployee wrote:It differs from store to store but usually at Christmas Tesco get the latest must have and i think its important to allow the staff to have them aswell as the customers (After all Staff are also Customers - I personally do not shop anywhere else) - Of course not all of the stock went to staff and the MAJORITY were sold to customers but this is one of the benefits of working for Tesco especially at Christmas, It's also a nice way of thanking the staff for their hard work over the festive period by allowing them to buy the 'must have' for their children.
Interesting answer but of course staff are *not* treated as customers in these cases - customers don't get advanced warning and a chance to buy before they are put on the shelf.
*shrugs* Of course, as with most large corporations, unless you're at a higher level the jobs aren't great so no-one can blame a manager for offering what reward they can to their staff. In general most staff in Tesco's are very nice people (though it's sad that this is hidden by the very few who are not) and I, for one, don't have a problem with the idea of a few of them basking in the smiles of their kids come xmas morning.
I've read elsewhere that the bonus given staff this year was £40 off £400. Is this true?
If it is I must say it's pretty poor reward for the hard work put in by people who are often on pretty low wages....particularly when the headlines talk of billions profit.
Do me a favour TE. Pass this on to your shop floor staff (the lowest paid ones): Thank them for their service, help, and general good humour in the last year. I often notice that they seem snowed under but they are almost always nice when you talk to them.
Over the years (way before r&r threads) I've had both good and bad experiences of your CS staff. Some can be pleasant, some really nice, and some harrased but good natured. However, there are some that have an awful disposition. Please, please, please remind them that their job is customer *service* and that they are the face of Tesco's that people will remember...so make it a good one. As someone else here said, if it's an r&r then smile at the customer and bite the head off whoever left the SEL up.
BTW, over the last couple of months I've had a few experiences of CS (very few for r&r's from here). About 50% have left me with a negative impression of Tesco's - not good PR. But some have been really nice and one in particular was brilliant (not an r&r so it wasn't a true test). I just wish all CS staff were like her.
Oh yes, and how come all CS staff seem to be women?0
